Cotswold Falconry Centre

Moreton-in-Marsh

Wildlife & Gardens Experience

Opened in 1988 with the aim of showcasing the ancient art of falconry and educating people on birds of prey and the Cotswold Falconry Centre is one of the leading birds of prey centres in the UK.

During your time here you can enjoy flying displays from over 150 birds of 50 different species. You can also visit the breeding aviaries to learn about endangered species. The flying displays occur three times a day so you can watch as many times as you wish. The breeding aviaries are home to a number of birds that are critically endangered in the wild. Spending time here gives a great insight into their plight and their life. The Cotswold Falconry Centre also offers a great opportunity to learn more about birds that are native to the Cotswolds. This means you can spot them better when out and about on your walks.

For a more in-depth activity, why not book the Flying Start? During this private one-hour encounter you will be able to meet a variety of birds of prey. Learn more about each bird and under the guidance of a falconer experience the thrill of one of these majestic birds flying to your gloved hand. Flying Start also includes day admission into the centre so you can enjoy the rest of the day.

The Owl Experience is also private and for those with a fondness for owls unmissable. Learn more about a variety of species and enjoy a fabulous photo opportunity as you guide one into land on your hand.

You can also adopt a bird of prey with regular updates communicated to you after your visit.

Why not combine your trip with a visit to Batsford Arboretum, which is just next door?

To note: Dogs are not allowed in the Falconry Centre. The Centre is almost entirely accessible by wheelchair and pushchair.

For those special occasions, you can get closer to the action and meet and fly a number of birds, from owls to eagles.
