Cotswold Farm Park
Guiting Power
Family Friendly Experience
The Cotswold Farm Park was founded by Joe Henson in 1971 to protect rare breeds of farm animals. Today, his son Adam Henson, one of the best-known farmers in the UK, thanks to BBC’s Countryfile and his business partner Duncan jointly run the 650-hectare estate including the Cotswold Farm Park.
Set high in the Cotswold hills, this much-loved farm park is a hub of farming and outdoor activity. As you explore, you’ll find more than 50 breeds spanning seven different species of British farm animals. Pick up a bag of animal snacks and follow the rare breed trail with plenty of opportunity for animal interaction. Learn the ancient origins of the breeds as you follow the trail to the animal barn. Here the newest members, including piglets and calves, reside. From April through to October there are daily bottle-feeding events where your little ones can feed the lambs and goat kids. There are also ‘Meet the animal’ activities where cuddles are encouraged, and the photo opportunities are endless.
Additionally, there are various wildlife walks throughout the park where you can see the stunning seasonal flowers. Dedicated areas specifically for children include the adventure barn, a safe and exciting indoor play area, plus super-fun, bouncy pillows. There are also sand pits, pedal tractors, and swings, all in the fresh open air.
The Ox Shed offers a diverse menu and is a beautiful breakfast and lunch spot. There are also several takeaway food spots across the site and plenty of outdoor and undercover seating. On Friday and Saturday evenings throughout the summer, the restaurant is open for evening meals until 8 p.m.
Last but by no means least a browse of the gift shop before you leave is a must with lots of wonderful gifts for both children and adults alike.
