Holiday cottages for the Summer Holidays
The Cotswolds – the perfect answer to “How did you spend your summer holiday?”
Now is the perfect time to book your summer holiday. Staycations are hugely popular with Brits and we see regular travel to our shores for the popular locations, which includes the beautiful Cotswolds.
The Cotswolds makes for a great summer holiday destination because there are so many summer holiday activities to take part in throughout the region. While you’re here, you can explore the land (on foot, bike or horse), the water (by kayak, canoe, SUP, sail or motorboat) and even the air (as a wing-walker, in a glider, hot air balloon or helicopter). And should you exhaust all the things to do near your holiday cottage, you’ll find a whole lot more within 30 to 60 minutes’ drive – completely doable even for the littlest of little ones.
So, when the kids go back to school and are asked by their friends and teachers, “How did you spend your summer holidays?” they’ll have no shortage of adventures to tell them about from kayaking to tree climbing, animal keeping to toasting marshmallows around a campfire, riding tractors to riding ponies and even going to the beach… Yes, there’s even a beach in the Cotswolds!
Need some inspiration for your summer vacation? Head over to our list of hand-picked, self-catering Cotswold properties – each with their own activity Guidebook – which are still available for the summer months. But don’t leave it too late to book your holiday home – that list won’t last long.
