This gorgeous Tudor manor house near Banbury is the former ancestral home of George Washington. It has been cared for and renovated to keep its original magic alive. The 16th century manor is used alongside the barn and private gardens to produce a simply stunning venue for your special day. They can offer everything from a simple ceremony with a relaxed drinks reception, to a full-blown extravaganza of celebration.
Make your vows in the Tudor Great Hall, the elegant barn or choose to have an outdoor ceremony in the beautiful gardens. The great hall is a more elegantly formal setting seating up to 75 guests. You will also have a private tour of the house allowing you to view the historic rooms.
The design of the barn complements the style of the manor house. Within are oak beams and a timbered gallery. It can seat 100 guests for a ceremony and opens out on to the terrace. For your wedding breakfast there is space for 90 but you also have the option of adding a marquee on the terrace.
Larger celebrations may prefer to make use of the spacious lawns. You have the freedom to create your own garden party but there are some handy indoor spaces available with this. Sulgrave Manor can provide a chill out area, photo booths and a creche.
