Cottages on a private estate

Live life to the manor born on a private estate in the heart of the country

Hidden away behind drystone walls and impressive entrances, flanked by old gatehouses are some of the most glorious, rural estates in England. This is where you’ll find elegant manor houses and sprawling farmhouses. Centuries-old hunting lodges and charming country cottages. We have a range of cottages on these private, country estates enabling us to offer you exclusive access. This means you can enjoy the most wonderful taste of country living, in places inaccessible to most.

The Sudeley Castle Estate is the only private castle in England to have a queen buried on the grounds. This impressive estate in Winchcombe has connections with royalty that date back many hundreds of years and is a wonderful place to visit. We have 17 charming holiday homes and cottages across the Sudeley estate so you can experience it yourself. Guests staying at Sudeley also receive complimentary access to the castle and gardens during the open season. This is usually from March to October.

Beautiful Ragley Estate in Warwickshire is only open to the public for events. However, we have three delightful holiday homes on the estate, including a fabulous old hunting lodge and one of the original gatehouses, which guards the main entrance.

Tucked away in the Forest of Dean is the rather lovely Lydney Estate. The gardens of this private estate are open for a few short weeks during spring. However, we have several properties here, which means you can enjoy this naturally beautiful location all year round. Pick one of the quirky shepherd’s huts for a romantic escape or one of the larger houses for a family celebration.

Within a stone’s throw of historic Stratford-upon-Avon lies Alscot. This impressive estate covers more than 4,000 acres of stunning Warwickshire countryside. We invite you to experience this very beautiful estate for yourself, in one of the two beautiful country retreats we have at Alscot.

In the southern reaches of the Cotswolds, we have the oh-so-beautiful Euridge Manor. This enchanting Wiltshire estate has magical gardens and a delightful choice of accommodation ranging from the utterly gorgeous Orangery to traditional cottages with the most memorable views. There’s even a hidden cabin for the off-grid escapees among you.

Lastly, but by no means least we have Kentchurch Estate. Sitting on the Welsh border with Herefordshire the stunning Lower Lodge Gatehouse is our first property on this private estate.
