Holiday cottages for May Bank Holiday

Make the most of May Day in the Cotswolds

Enjoy a long weekend in the Cotswolds for May Day 2024 as the weather changes for the better, but before the busy summer season. It is a fantastic opportunity to enjoy a holiday with the wildflowers springing up, as blossoms bloom across the region. The fields fill with crops which you glimpse through the pink petals and children can spot wildlife as you drive through the quiet lanes to your Cotswold escape.

With a host of properties to suit your needs, you are sure to find the perfect one to accommodate your group. If you are gathering family for a special event or want to share a home-cooked feast, our larger properties offer spectacular dining rooms and you could even hire a private chef to make your stay in the Cotswolds this early May Bank Holiday even more memorable. Spend time in the garden with the family dog at one of our pet-friendly properties and enjoy seeing the children play while you put your feet up. If you’re looking for a more romantic escape from everyday life, we have cosy cottages for two and some have the added special touch of a hot tub.

Over the May Bank Holiday weekend in the UK there are many events you can take part in across the Cotswolds. The Cheltenham Jazz Festival brings music and dance to the town with free performances across the weekend, well-known acts, family-friendly shows and a buzzing atmosphere. Cirencester is taken over by the Wool Weekend with stallholders and displays celebrating this important Cotswold product and in Lechlade the Vintage Rally and Country Show has classic cars, miniatures and a children’s fun fair. For something a little different, join the crowds lining the streets in Tetbury as their soapbox derby, the Wacky Races, brings racing hopefuls in their homemade karts to compete for the fastest time as they fly down the hill.
