Full Description
Chalford Manor in its peaceful Oxfordshire surroundings is the perfect retreat for gathering friends and family from across the country. Tucked away along a quiet country road with your own tennis court and swimming pool, this historic manor is your little secret. A stone’s throw from Oxford and the foot of the Chiltern Hills, this inspirational area is begging to be explored. From walking the glorious countryside, popping to Thame for a meal and to spot the filming locations of Midsomer Murders, and a day out to Warner Bros Studios or Henley Regatta, the list is endless.

Made for spending cherished time together, Chalford Manor is a sublime backdrop. Hire a private chef for decadent meals in the historic dining room, serve drinks poolside, dedicate time to playing garden games with the children and finally get that uninterrupted nights sleep you need. Space for everybody to spread out is provided with a sitting room and drawing room, and you even have a study if you must lock yourself away to finish off that work project. A ground floor bedroom and bathroom suits older guests and the top floor is a hideaway for the children with single bedrooms and a twin room so you can keep an eye on their playful mischief. The spacious master bedroom has stunning garden views and from some rooms you can spot the sheep in the surrounding fields. Antique furniture mixed with works of art, exposed beams and original features work together to add a unique finish to Chalford Manor.

While the interiors of Chalford Manor are beautiful, strolling the garden past sweet wisteria, blooming crocuses and the gentle flow of the passing stream is a magical experience. The swimming pool is tucked away at the back of the house giving it an extra sense of privacy. There is no better place to spend sunny days than with a book by the pool, enjoying a family BBQ or getting your morning laps in. Try your hand at a game of tennis and head out to explore your surroundings on foot, stopping off at the nearby pub on your way home.
