Hidden within the gently rolling hills of the Wiltshire Cotswolds lies Euridge Manor, a whimsical, Georgian-esque estate surrounded by the most enchanting gardens. Curated over forty years, Euridge Manor is blessed with glorious rose gardens, crumbling archways, sweeping lawns, and meandering pathways, which all weave through a landscape of incredible rural beauty. The thatched boat house with a wooden rowing boat brings a sense of the theatrical to this impressive estate. Accommodation comes in the form of the remarkable Orangery and creates an extraordinary statement. It is a notable and indeed memorable, place to stay and guests choosing this impressive spot will enjoy unrivalled and exclusive access to these magical gardens and a private wood-fired sauna.
Full Description
The utterly delightful Orangery takes pride of place at Euridge, and from the moment you step through the double doors into the impressive, sunlight-filled space, the sense of occasion is palpable. Multiple windows and a series of French doors lead the eye to the surrounding parterre terrace and the view beyond. Flagstone floors, warm terracotta walls and giant palms bask in the glow of twinkling chandeliers, which descend from the vaulted glass ceiling. The dining table, when laid with polished glasses and flickering candles, speaks of relaxed, convivial meals in an elegant space as the night sky darkens above you. Plump sofas strewn with botanical print cushions sit at one end, carving out a light-filled seating space, that invites you to sit for a while, curl up with a good book and let yourself relax. The compact but well-equipped kitchen has everything practical needed and is ideally located should you wish to allow a private chef to create culinary delights for you. At either end of the Orangery lie a pair of four-poster bedrooms furnished with beautiful antiques and artwork. The expansive ensuite bathrooms with clawfoot bathtubs enhance the feeling that you are staying somewhere rather special. To the outside of the Orangery, a castellated terrace with gravel pathways winding through beautiful beds and planting, clipped box hedges and topiary. A stone staircase at one end leads to the lawns below and, as you descend pause for a moment to soak up the view, perfectly framed through the window in the wall. The Orangery also offers the ultimate place for relaxation with a private, wood-fired sauna.

Ground Floor

The Orangery:
Dramatic and elegant and designed to create a statement, the exceptional orangery fuses flagstone floors with warm terracotta walls, a vaulted glass ceiling, the gentle sparkle of crystal chandeliers, marble busts and tropical palms. A fantastical stone water feature creates an impressive backdrop to a magnificent dining table, whilst a swathe of double doors parade along one wall, opening to a private garden terrace with sublime views. At the far end, plump sofas invite you to curl up for a while, like a cat in the sunshine and relax as the sunlight pours in through the windows, beneath huge palms that waft gently in the breeze. The wall-mounted Smart TV is a modern-day necessity, but this is a space for gentle conversation, elegant meals by the flicker of candlelight, with soft jazz playing in the background.

Palm Room:
Bedtime is dreamlike in this elegant room. Taking centre stage, an impressive four-poster, super-king bed, the canopy lined in ruby red velvet. Vast windows swathed in drapes frame a rural view, with a windowsill just wide enough to perch on. Dramatic artwork adorns the walls, and the high ceiling provides the perfect canvas for a sparkling chandelier.

Ensuite:
The dreamy bathroom beckons for bubble-filled, scented soaks in the clawfoot bathtub, whilst the walk-in shower with a rainfall shower head is for morning revivals.

Rose Room:
Beautiful antiques, highly polished wood and a king-size four-poster bed make this a very special and opulent sleeping experience. The dramatic, high ceilings speak of the sophistication of a bygone era but now with every creature comfort.

Ensuite:
Let the cares of the day drift away in the standalone, clawfoot bathtub, where surrounded by scented water and the peace and tranquillity of the countryside, life seems an altogether less stressful place.

Kitchen:
Compact and efficiently equipped with everything you might need including a full oven, dishwasher, fridge freezer, microwave, washer-dryer, and a Nespresso machine to help you ease into the day.

Outside

With acres of grounds to discover, guests will feel as though they have their own enchanted gardens to run wild in. Formal borders and beds line meandering pathways, carved topiary sits amongst garden sculptures and cool, serene pools lead to the romantic thatched boat house, where a cute rowing boat lies in wait. An all-weather tennis court lies behind a high hedge, a viewing terrace above… champagne and strawberries anyone? Immediately beyond the French doors lining the Orangery is a delightful terrace studded with water features, pathways, clipped hedges, planted beds and far-reaching views over the estate and valley beyond, there is also a barbecue. The icing on this magical cake is hidden away on the path from the entrance, where you’ll find an intriguing wood-clad pod housing the private wood-fired sauna.*

Owner Recommendations
The gardens at Euridge are its crowning glory and spending time wandering through the grounds is a must. The thatched boat house is a tranquil spot and very romantic. The owner also suggests a meal at Michelin-starred Restaurant Hywel Jones at nearby Luckham Park for a memorable evening.

When it comes to walking, Euridge is surrounded by footpaths which wind through the countryside so there are plenty of opportunities to stretch your legs, a visit to nearby Bath is also highly recommended.

The Orangery is just stunning a beautiful property located on a well manicured estate. It was well equipped with everything that we needed. We enjoyed using the sauna and tennis court. It's in a great location and it was perfect for catching up with old school friends in Bath.
