Dating back to the early 1800s, this stylish two-bedroom retreat blends the historic character of original beams, exposed stonework and cosy fireplace with modern comforts, including underfloor heating, luxury bathrooms, and a fully equipped kitchen. Each room has a refreshing, airy feel with open plan living areas on the ground floor and tranquil en-suite bedrooms on the first. A woodburning stove adds to the cosy atmosphere in the sitting room and there is space to either sit and read with a cup of coffee or curl up and watch TV. The eye-catching kitchen/diner is brought to life in shades of green with a gorgeous dining area and kitchen space which has a handy breakfast bar for quick meals and snacks. Both bedrooms have a double bed and showcase the beams and exposed stone and through sliding doors are spa-like en-suite shower rooms.
This charming cottage has a private courtyard garden to the rear which you can enjoy throughout the day. Start here with breakfast and a cup of coffee in the sun and step out in the evening for a glass of champagne around the firepit. There is a bistro set for two and space for four to sit around a coffee table.

Dotty’s Cottage is exactly as described and pictured. Easy, free parking at the door. Just around the corner from all the wonderful shops, pubs and restaurants, and a great base for exploring the area. The one issue we had was handled quickly and without disrupting our stay at all. Highly recommend.
Michelle
Great place to stay, very comfortable and very clean. The area was perfect to stay in the Cotswolds; very central and Stow-on-the-Wold was my favorite town. Great food and great pubs!
Tania
Beautiful and comfortable with 2 ensuite bathrooms and powder room on first floor. Wonderful heated floors well appreciated as it was a chilly May week! Amenities shiny new, water pressure great, beds comfortable, decor tasteful- the cottage worked very well for 2 couples. Parking spot right in front.

High marks in the Cotswolds

Four of us (2 couples) enjoyed our stay at Dottie's Cottage. High marks for the cleanliness, high standard of the fittings, and walking distance to central Stow-on-the-Wold. Good communication and check-in, checkout process. Something to be aware of is the location is on a main road. Even with thick walls and double glazing, it can be loud in the middle of the night. Definitely tolerable in exchange for a central location.

Absolutely fantastic place! I highly recommend this place! I really like that the kitchen is equipped with beautiful glassware and tableware. It's nice when there is some coffee, washing powder, toilet paper, etc., available for the tenant to use.
Marianne
Really enjoyed our stay in Dolly’s Cottage. It was the perfect place for a couple of days and right on the outskirts of the village making it easy to walk anywhere. Main road outside was a nosy mid week but was noticeably quieter over the weekend. Very clean, well supplied and a great base for exploring the Cotswolds.

Comfortable, characterful cottage in a central location but very very noisy and hot

The cottage is very well located for Stow being just off the main street. Parking outside isn't always possible but we easily found a space on the road nearby. The cottage is very characterful and comfortable/ well kitted out in terms of beds, appliances, etc., and was a good base for two of us for two nights. Welcome guide was helpful.
Potential downsides to it depending on what matters to visitors: very very noisy being right next to the Fosse Way - the traffic didn't stop at all so it was hard to sleep. There's limited storage in the bedrooms and in the kitchen so if you're staying a while it might be tricky. Superficially clean but could do with a thorough clean and some maintenance - cobwebs everywhere, dirty windows, grouting missing or black in places, dirt in various places e.g. on the sealant around sinks, on the shower wall/ floor, visible signs of leaks and other maintenance needs. Courtyard garden not a great place to sit - lots of bins, lots of weeds. Way too hot - 10.5 tog duvet in a very warm house when it's 18 degrees outside and the sun is blaring through the windows is far from ideal! Had to make use of the aircon unit in April so hate to think what it might be like in the summer. Underfloor heating I'm sure is lovely in the winter but when it's spring and sunny it just felt way too hot and we had to keep opening doors and windows. We did turn radiators off and tried to adjust the bathroom underfloor heating but it was still hot.
Alison

Really cute cottage! Very easy to find and just minutes from the high street. The interiors are very nice, small kitchen but we found all we needed in it, lovely small garden outside and comfortable beds. Leticia was so lovely and helpful all the time and answered straight away with any questions we had. Lovely stay. Thanks!!!
Clara
We had a lovely stay at this cottage. The guidebook and local recommendations were a lovely touch. The fireplace had wood ready to go, and everything was clean and tidy. Top stay!
