Annual Travel Planner
Plan your next visit to the Cotswolds
The Cotswolds offer so much to see and do for all ages and interests every month of the year. Why not use our Annual Travel Planner for inspiration and to get the most out of your stay, whichever month you choose to visit.
Perhaps you like the spring months of March, April and May when nature is bursting back to life, gardens are in bloom, lambs are bouncing, Easter egg hunts are all the rage, the Festival™ at Cheltenham Racecourse takes place and the crowds at Lechlade Festival, Chipping Campden Music Festival and Cheltenham Jazz Festival will be grooving the Spring nights away.
If you’re visiting in June, July or August, make a beeline for Cotswold Lavender’s fields of purple gold, catch a performance by the amazing Giffords Circus, visit one of the many Cotswolds pubs with gardens and enjoy a local ale, gin or cider, and attend festivals galore from Forest Live to Longborough Festival Opera.
During the autumn months, the Cotswolds’ great gardens will be having a late summer flourish before the woodland leaves begin to turn and put on their most colourful performance of the year. Meanwhile, Country Shows and food festivals will be taking place across the region, as well as Blenheim Palace International Horse Trials.
As the nights draw in and the mornings turn frosty, the beginning of the winter is a superb time to be in the Cotswolds. Enjoy the Christmas markets and warming drinks in front of a log fire. Embark on something new in January, perhaps an art course, dog sledding or an electric bike tour, and then whisk your loved one away in February for a romantic break.
