A wood-fired hot tub adds something special to a romantic getaway. There's a particular kind of magic to feeding the fire yourself and watching the water slowly warm, glass in hand, as the countryside darkens around you. It's a slower, more hands-on kind of luxury than a standard electric tub, and one many of our guests come back for again and again.
Bigger celebrations are just as well catered for. Several of our holiday cottages with hot tubs sleep up to twenty guests, built for a proper gathering, whether that's a milestone birthday, a family reunion, or simply an excuse to get everyone together under one roof.
These hot tub cottages suit every season. Summer evenings call for a cool drink and a dip as the sun goes down. Come autumn and winter, there's nothing quite like sinking into hot water while the air turns crisp, steam rising against a darkening sky.
Location matters too. Many of our cottages with hot tubs sit close to Forest of Dean and the market towns of Stow-on-the-Wold and Chipping Campden, so a soak is never far from a full day out exploring.

Hot Tub FAQs
What temperature should a hot tub be?
The hot tub is set to the correct temperature and should not exceed 37°C.
How long should you stay in a hot tub?
We recommend limiting each immersion to a maximum of 15 minutes at a time. Always keep your head above the water and leave the hot tub if you begin to feel uncomfortable or unwell.
Can I use the hot tub after drinking alcohol?
No. You should not use the hot tub after a heavy meal or while under the influence of alcohol or sedatives.
Do I need to shower before using the hot tub?
Yes. Please shower before entering the hot tub and do not use suntan lotions, spray tans or skin creams beforehand.
Can children use the hot tub?
Children must always be supervised in and around the hot tub. Children under six years old should not use the hot tub. The maximum number of bathers must also never be exceeded, with one person per seat.
Can I use the hot tub if I am pregnant or have a health condition?
If you are pregnant, have health problems or are immunosuppressed, please seek medical advice before using the hot tub.
What should I avoid taking into the hot tub?
Glass must not be used in or around the hot tub. Plastic cups are provided for guests to use instead. Electrical appliances should also be kept away from the hot tub.
Are there any other hot tub rules I should know?
Please do not use the hot tub alone, sit on the plastic filter lid or sit on the hot tub cover. All guests use the hot tub at their own risk.
