After spending your days in town, exploring nearby Dover’s Hill and walking the Cotswold Way, returning to charming Bumble Cottage for some rest and relaxation sounds idyllic.
Full Description
You are welcomed at Bumble Cottage by its cheerful décor and comfortable furnishings which make this a delightful home from home. A stone’s throw from the hustle and bustle of Chipping Campden’s high street you have the best of both worlds. A short stroll to the nearest pub and shops yet away from the buzz of tourists.

This incredibly well-equipped cottage is perfectly arranged for two couples or a small family. Three bedrooms provide flexibility and you will have fun finding the friendly bees hidden throughout. The quaint, country style kitchen is a lovely room for preparing meals with a double oven and convenient layout. There is space for four to dine together in the open plan living/dining area and evenings can be spent relaxing in the sitting area. Everything has been thought of with a selection of books, games and Smart TV to keep you entertained.

At Bumble Cottage you can live the life of a local and stroll into town to pick up some freshly baked bread for your breakfast, to be served in the garden. It is wonderfully secluded and enclosed. To the front of the cottage is off road parking for one car while additional on-street spaces can be found nearby.

Please note this property does not accept children under the age of 10.

Ground Floor

Kitchen:
The pale blue tiles, white cabinets and wood worktop combine to create a modern cottage kitchen. You have a double oven and hob, dishwasher, fridge/freezer, microwave and washing machine. It has been beautifully finished and the owner’s personalities shine through with fun additions of goose egg cups and bee themed gnomes.

Sitting/Dining Room:
This comfortable room instantly makes you sit down and relax. Two sofas in the sitting area seat four and the TV is on a useful extending bracket so everybody has a good view. The electric fire here is not in use. The dining area has a table and chairs seating four in front of the patio doors to the garden. Open these to bring the outside in and add birdsong as a backdrop to your meals.

Cloakroom:
A useful addition to the cottage is the ground floor cloakroom with a WC and sink. Along with the main bathroom upstairs this ensures there are enough facilities for all guests.

First Floor

Bedroom One:
The first double room has flourishes of beehive yellow and the plump bedding cocoons you for a great night’s sleep. Alongside the double bed are bedside tables for a morning cup of coffee and your favourite book. There is also a reading lamp and smart Google alarm clock.

Bedroom Two:
This slightly larger bedroom overlooks the garden and neighbouring Cotswold stone cottages. There is a double bed, storage, bedside tables and lamp, Google alarm clock, and a full-length mirror.

Bedroom Three:
If you are a small family or group of friends, bedroom three has a single bed for some added flexibility with the sleeping arrangements.

Bathroom:
The family bathroom has a P-shaped bath with a shower over, WC and sink. It has a touch of luxe with glitzy tiles making bathtime a glamorous experience.

Outside

To the rear of Bumble Cottage is a fully enclosed split level garden. There is a bistro set, bench for two and a furniture set to seat four in the lower garden. Wonderful accommodation, the location is exceptional, local restaurants, cafes and shops are super close and all we tried were fantastic. Chipping Campden has a community feel unlike some other towns in the Cotswolds, everyone was so friendly! We’ll definitely bee-back to Bumble

A lovely row cottage on a quiet court just off of the high street. It was exceptionally clean and comfortable with a lovely decor. Nicely appointed kitchen area. We were very pleased. Very good communication from the host as well.

This was a return visit after we were here over Christmas. Can't find fault with the cottage except we wished the weather had been more friendly towards us so that we could have sat out in the back garden in the evening. The cottage is so convenient for going to the local restaurants and bars. The owners should be very proud of this property. It is by far the best we have visited! We shall hopefully visit again and hope the weather will be better.

I booked from Australia so was a little unsure if the property would live up to expectations. It was stunning, and the most well equipped property I have ever stayed in. The owners have thought of everything. We used it as our base to explore the area, it was perfectly located in the heart of everything, with parking, so we didn’t need to worry about using the car. I would highly recommend this property to everyone. Already planning a return trip.

Bumble Cottage is one of the best and loveliest cottages we have stayed at. We like to self cater and be free to do our own thing. The convenience of the cottage was excellent - just a short walk to the Chipping Campden high street and restaurants and coffee shops. It was beautifully decorated for Christmas and it was so cosy. We would like to visit again when the weather is warmer so that we can sit outside in the garden.

Location

From the front door of Bumble Cottage you are seconds away from the High Street of Chipping Campden. You’ll find a well-stocked Co-Operative store for essentials and if you’re in search of something a little special, Fillet & Bone, also situated on the High Street, offers beautiful artisan produce sourced from across the Cotswolds. The Cotswold Way begins just outside Chipping Campden at Dover’s Hill where the peculiar Cotswold Olimpicks are held. Slightly further afield, nearby Broadway (6 miles) is a quintessential Cotswold town, worth visiting for its boutique shops and much photographed high street.
