There are stations dotted across the region giving you a range of locations to explore. Perhaps you could plan a tour staying in a couple of different cottages near a train station?

Some are in the centre of town while others are a short taxi ride. You can have the best of both worlds in the Cotswolds. Enjoy fantastic walking opportunities into the country from most of our cottages, but also enjoy being close to local pubs, shops and restaurants.

If you’re coming from a large city, enjoy the speedy direct route from your urban life to your rural holiday home. Take in the fresh air and settling down in a local, cosy pub. If you’re travelling from a quieter location, why not visit one of the many bustling Cotswold towns? Cheltenham is a bustling hub with easy access to the rest of the Cotswolds by train. Charlbury and Moreton-in-Marsh offer a more rural base for your car-free countryside retreat.

The Cotswolds is home to a variety of events, from literature readings to comedy nights, music festivals and even foodie feastivals. Arranging your holiday around train travel means you can fully enjoy the event. No more worrying about things like who may be the designated driver.
