Sudeley Castle & Gardens
Arts & Culture Experience
Sudeley Castle is considered one of the most beautiful castles in England, and with 10 magnificent gardens you can be sure to find one to inspire you. Exhibitions are regularly held at both the castle and St Mary’s Church, where Queen Katherine Parr lies entombed – she is the only English queen to be buried on private land.
An adventure playground is on site to keep the little ones entertained, and there is also one of the largest collections of rare and endangered species of pheasant to discover. There’s something for everyone at Sudeley, and the team focus on putting on regular seasonal events for the whole public to enjoy, such as their Spectacle of Light where the romantic ruins and glorious gardens are lit up during the evening, offering dazzling illuminations.
To note: A circular route around the gardens is wheelchair accessible, but the upper floors of the castle exhibition areas are unsuitable. Dogs are not permitted within the castle or gardens, only service dogs.
