Full Description
A very short walk from the village pub in Naunton you arrive at Hope Cottage, a rural bolthole for two which fills you with comfort. After enjoying the surrounding Cotswold countryside, it is a delight to return to this homely Cotswold stone cottage for your getaway.

Stepping through the front stable door into the kitchen you can take off your boots at the wooden bench before popping the kettle on for a cup of tea out in the sunny and secluded garden. The kitchen has a wooden dining table where you can enjoy romantic home cooked meals together when you’re not wining and dining at one of the local inns. In the cosy living room curl up on the plump sofa under the wooden beams and relax to the crackling fire in the wood burner. The shuttered windows look out over the quiet lane, used more by walkers than cars.

Upstairs is the king-size bedroom where you can hide away in the mornings enjoying the tranquillity of your retreat. Perhaps your partner will even cook up a breakfast feast to fuel you for the day of exploring that’s ahead. The spacious bathroom has a shower over the bath giving you the option for a slow soak or an invigorating start.

The patio garden is fully enclosed making a private sun trap and there is a bench and table and chairs for you to spend time out here. From Hope Cottage you can join the Windrush Way or Wardens Way which passes the front door and takes you to Upper and Lower Slaughter and Bourton-on-the-Water.

A door at the back of the room takes you out onto the patio and there is a subtle slope down into the living room.

Another wonderful stay in the Cotswolds! Hope Cottage is a beautiful, quaint cottage in a very pretty village. The bed was really comfy and the towels were really lovely quality. The cottage was clean and fully equipped with all we needed for our stay. The fire was an extra treat. The courtyard garden was really handy too. Really close to Stow on the Wold, Broadway and Bourton on the Water. The Black Horse is literally 1 minute walk and they were really friendly and welcoming. Food was great for when we wanted an easy tea. We also had great food at The Coach and Horses in Longborough and The Hollow Bottom in Guiting Power which are about 15 mins away.

A beautiful cottage and a perfect location to explore the Cotswolds. Comfortable, cosy and romantic and would completely recommend it if you are looking for a romantic break or to explore the surrounding area. The village has a lovely pub which on our stay was vibrant and nicely busy. The village is peaceful and very quiet, in fact, we had more horses pass the cottage than cars. We definitely will book again.
