Full Description
A very short walk from the village pub in Naunton you arrive at Hope Cottage, a rural bolthole for two which fills you with comfort. After enjoying the surrounding Cotswold countryside, it is a delight to return to this homely Cotswold stone cottage for your getaway.

Stepping through the front stable door into the kitchen you can take off your boots at the wooden bench before popping the kettle on for a cup of tea out in the sunny and secluded garden. The kitchen has a wooden dining table where you can enjoy romantic home cooked meals together when you’re not wining and dining at one of the local inns. In the cosy living room curl up on the plump sofa under the wooden beams and relax to the crackling fire in the wood burner. The shuttered windows look out over the quiet lane, used more by walkers than cars.

Upstairs is the king-size bedroom where you can hide away in the mornings enjoying the tranquillity of your retreat. Perhaps your partner will even cook up a breakfast feast to fuel you for the day of exploring that’s ahead. The spacious bathroom has a shower over the bath giving you the option for a slow soak or an invigorating start.

The patio garden is fully enclosed making a private sun trap and there is a bench and table and chairs for you to spend time out here. From Hope Cottage you can join the Windrush Way or Wardens Way which passes the front door and takes you to Upper and Lower Slaughter and Bourton-on-the-Water.

Ground Floor

The front door opens into the kitchen/diner where there is a wooden dining table with plenty of space to serve delicious meals which have been prepared in the kitchen. The units cover two walls with copious storage space for any supplies you bring with you for your holiday. There is a wooden bench and a small window seat beneath the shuttered front window. A door at the back of the room takes you out onto the patio and there is a subtle slope down into the living room.

Living Room:
In the living room is a sumptuous two-seater sofa and a separate armchair. The wood burner in its stone surround is the highlight of this room but there is also a smart TV for evening entertainment. There is a wooden floor and wooden beams in the room and two windows look out over the lane.

First Floor

Stairs from the living room take you up to the first floor with a bathroom and bedroom.

The spacious bathroom has a WC, sink, and a shower over the bath. There is a heated radiator for keeping towels and underfloor heating.

Bedroom One:
The wooden king-size bed sits under the beamed ceiling and offers a quiet environment for a good night’s sleep. A wardrobe provides storage and there is a floor-length mirror and wooden towel rail.

The garden is fully enclosed with planted beds at the sides adding colour in the sunnier months and herbs fill the air with the scent of rosemary.
