Date: 10-13th July 2024
2000trees was created back in 2007 by six music fans who had no experience but simply loved music. The focus is unquestionably on people, not profit and is a true community festival that has its roots firmly in music. Set in the beautiful Cotswold Hills not far from the Regency town of Cheltenham Spa, 2000trees is award-winning. It brings together an eclectic and diverse array of bands. It gives smaller bands the opportunity to play in front of bigger crowds but in a welcoming and relaxed environment. Likewise, more established bands get to connect with their fans in an intimate and friendly space, where they can interact closely with those that love their music.
This is a festival where household names also share the stage with indie acts and up-and-coming artists. It is undoubtedly a firm favourite in the Cotswold calendar. In addition to the music stage, 2000trees also boasts the Word Stage. Alongside an impressive comedy line-up, the always-popular pub quiz returns plus an array of interactive game shows. Regular daily themes include musicians, writers, speakers, and poets. For those looking to channel their inner Zen the Forest Stage is where you can start the day with Trees Yoga, a tranquil experience amongst the trees.
As a family-friendly festival, there is plenty to keep young festival-goers entertained including a sheltered play area which is open all day. Activities include story-making, dressing up and musical fun. The popular Forest School focuses on child-led activities about learning how to be adventurous, there is also a sheltered play space by the main arena. This ensures parents can relax and catch their favourite band, whilst the kids play safely nearby.
When it comes to food and drink festivalgoers are well catered for. There is an outstanding array of local producers offering cider, ales, and lager. Plus, the best independent food suppliers with an excellent range of options covering vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free too.
