The place really is as good as it looks but the photo cannot convey the tasteful period and modern decor and furnishings, the spacious layout and the relaxed feel of the place. The owner greeted us, shortly after we arrived and has two small charming and well behaved dogs. Some very helpful starter packs are provided of all the essentials, such as washing up tools and soap, dishwasher tablets, washing machine tablets, tea and coffee, etc. The kitchen layout worked well, with the large work surface/bar and separate dining table and there was plenty of storage space. The bedrooms were superb, especially the ensuite one, and they are very well spaced out with landing areas in between. The well looked after garden, with shrubs and climbing Wisteria, has plenty of seating and gets the sun, both in the morning and in the afternoon/early evening (April) and is flanked by a dry stone wall. The hamlet was very well placed for visiting areas of the Cotswolds and the local pub, Bathurst Arms, was right by the river and served very tasty food. The owner also came to say goodbye shortly before we left, which was appreciated. All six of us would strongly recommend this place.
