Sink your toes into the sand as you dig, build and strengthen epic family castles – a wonderful day out awaits at Cotswold Country Park and Beach in Shorncote, near Cirencester. Enjoy main beach swimming and a paddling lagoon – don’t forget to bring your trunks, buckets and spades! For those with smaller toes, the Mini Children’s Beach Lagoon is the place to play. Kids will love the adventure playgrounds which are situated right by the beach.
Kayaks and paddle boards are available to hire as well as swan pedalo boats and electric mini port boats. For the more adventurous, book a session on AquaVenture – a huge inflatable assault course on the water with lots of awesome action-packed obstacles. While you’re there, enjoy a picnic with treats from the Beach Shack Café which offers a delicious take-away menu, from hotdogs to wraps, drinks and ice creams. You can also hire a private BBQ pitch or visit the café with views over the lake serving delicious sandwiches.
