Reviews

A great cottage at very affordable price to explore Oxford and Cotswold. We stayed 5 days as a family and everything was perfect. Super clean, spacious, all needed amenities are there. We didn't have a car but it was easy to get to Oxford nevertheless as the cottage is only one train stop away and the trains are quite frequent. Would love to stay again in the future.

I would definitely visit again. The village of Tackley is beautiful with very friendly locals and a great local pub and shop. A short train ride takes you into Oxford.

A perfect cottage, probably the best we've stayed at. Very well equipped and stylishly furnished. Excellent all round. 4 mins walk to the station and then one stop to get into Oxford was really convenient. 2 parking spaces in the courtyard off the road was great and the whole property felt safe and secure. We'll certainly hope to return in the future.

Stayed for two nights in the cottage to tour the Cotswolds. We arrived a couple of hours early and Lisa was ready for us. The cottage was lovely, clean tidy and comfortable with all mod cons. Milk, tea and coffee were a nice added touch. All the villages we visited were within a half hour drive and buses or trains to the centre of Oxford are right on the doorstep. All in all a great place to stay.

I had a lovely stay at Buff Lodge. The cottage is beautiful and so peaceful. It has everything you need and is very cosy. The owner was very helpful and kindly provided me with information on the village and made me feel very welcome. I wish I had more time to explore the village and its surrounds. The booking process was very easy and arrival seamless. It was a pleasure to stay in such a lovely property.

Buff Lodge was easy to find and with off road parking. The cottage was very clean and tidy, with a well equipped kitchen and was in a quiet location. It was also close to the railway station and not far from the Oxford Canal Path. Lisa the owner was very helpful.

Lisa’s place was amazing. We felt right at home - it was stunning. We all said that we’d return in a heartbeat. Very nicely located with lots to do on the doorstep (about 20 mins from Blenheim palace). Lisa was so lovely, great recommendations on restaurants and things to do in the local area - would highly recommend.

Location

Tackley is a charming village with a strong sense of community. The Village Shop is run by the locals and offers a wide range of groceries, newspapers, locally grown produce and freshly baked goods. The Village Hall hosts a pop-up pub on a Friday, which is well supported and a wonderful way to meet the locals. Woodstock and Blenheim Palace are just three miles away, whilst the ancient university city of Oxford is only 10 miles away. There is a bus stop with a direct service to Oxford moments away and a direct rail link to Oxford, London, and Bicester Village, within walking distance.
