The Cotswold Outpost sells a delicious selection of locally made products, from deli food and fresh produce, to local gins and spirits. Take home a fresh, crusty loaf of sourdough, a dozen Cacklebean eggs, and some fresh, local milk, all whilst supporting local and independent businesses.
Sitting just outside Burford on Windrush Heights, the views from the shop and café are spectacular and uninterrupted over the Windrush Valley. No visit to The Cotswold Outpost would be complete without something lovely to eat. Ranging from coffee and cake to steak and chips, every dish is Instagrammable, and more importantly, totally delicious!
It also serves Afternoon Tea every Tuesday and Wednesday from May to September, including a selection of finger sandwiches, scones with jam and clotted cream, a selection of sweet treats, strawberries, chocolate truffles and tea and coffee. All served on vintage china and linen. Guests of Bolthole Retreats can receive a free hot drink when buying food or a free glass of prosecco when ordering afternoon tea at The Outpost Eatery. To note: Please give a couple of days’ notice when booking Afternoon Tea, which is available from 10am until 3pm on Tuesdays and Wednesdays from May to September only. The Cotswold Outpost is closed on Tuesdays and Wednesdays in the winter.
