South Cerney Outdoor

Active Experience

A 47-acre lake of crystal-clear water awaits you at South Cerney Outdoor. You can enjoy a range of water sports and so much more here. Set at the deepest and oldest lake at Cotswold Water Park there are so many activities on offer.

Pay and play sessions can be booked by the hour and are a great way to try more than one sport. Choose from stand up paddle boarding, kayaking or canoeing. For groups you can book a katakanu which holds a maximum of six people. Their Family and Friends Fun Fest give you a half day pass to take advantage of all the equipment that is on offer. It is also a great option for bringing groups together to get to know each other better. Team building like raft building, tribal survival and a fun Borrowers’ Challenge are great for work groups or stag/hen dos.

If you’re looking to improve your sailing skills, you can work towards awards or book a private session. In these you can work on your favourite water sport with an experienced instructor. It’s a fantastic way to get the most out of your chosen activity so you spend more time on the water instead of in it!

Evening sessions can be pre-booked so if you’ve spent the day lazing at your wonderful country cottage, you can add some excitement and spend the evening on the lake. South Cerney Outdoor also host a ladies club night where you can try sailing, kayaking or paddle boarding.

There is much more than water sports on offer at South Cerney Outdoor. If you’d rather stay dry choose from archery, the high ropes, or the climbing tower. There is also a range of walks around the Cotswold Water Park that you can enjoy from here. The café on site is perfect for resting up afterwards with a hot drink and some street food.

To note: Licensed by the Adventurous Activity Licencing Service, South Cerney Outdoor is part of the Royal Yachting Association, is a British Canoeing training centre, and is a Site of Special Scientific Interest. It is a fully accessible site with dedicated accessible sessions and equipment available. Dogs are welcome at The Lodge at Lake 12.

If you can’t decide on which activity takes your fancy, enjoy one of their taster experience sessions, suitable for both children as well as adults.
