The award-winning Cotswold Driving Experiences have purpose-built tracks to give you a thrilling off road adventure. With the choice of a 4×4 or a rally car, you can have a heart-racing day in the driver’s seat.
Great for petrol-heads and thrill seekers, the centre have half day and full day options. The 4×4 off road experience puts you behind the wheel of a modified Land Rover Discovery. The instructors encourage you to push your limits, scraping past trees and down impossible looking drops. Everyday driver’s get a taste of off-roading along the specially built course with a variety of obstacles to tackle. The instructors will take you through a safety briefing before you sit in the driver’s seat and attempt those axle twisters across the ridges and through the undergrowth. You will leave feeling significantly more confident behind the wheel!
Set in the Cotswold Water Park it can sometimes be a rather wet experience which adds to the excitement. It’s a beautiful lakeside track, but you’ll hear the sound of the engine over the birds.
The gravel rally school at Cotswold Driving Experience gets you power sliding around the course. Not for the faint hearted, you’ll be pushing the car to its limits! Children over 10 and drivers with disabilities can also get a taste of the action. While you’re staying in the Cotswolds you could book a group event with the team to celebrate a special occasion.
For those with experience in rally driving or anyone wanting a more intense drive, you could improve your technique with some 1 on 1 tuition. You will learn more about car control, improve on existing skills and learn some tips and tricks. These 3-hour sessions are tailored to you with an experienced instructor at your side. Chief instructor and owner of Cotswold Driving Experiences, Andy Gwynne, is an ex-European and National rally champion. You’ll definitely be in safe hands!
If you can’t drive, or just want to experience what it’s like, then choose a passenger ride. An experienced driver will take the vehicle through its paces while you have a rollercoaster like ride along the muddy, twisting, bumpy route.
To note: Drivers are to be over 17, hold a full UK driving licence, be over 5’0” and under 6’6”. The experience is not suitable for spectators, due to the track being in a different location to the reception and facilities.
