Luxury boltholes

Court Cottage

Painswick Valley is one of the most tranquil and revitalising settings you’re ever likely to find, with Court Cottage at its centre surrounded by 94 acres of meadows and woodland. From the outside, the house may at first appear slightly austere, with its straight lines and pebbled exterior, but that just makes the contrast with the beautifully furnished and styled interior even more breath-taking. From the fabulous kitchen to the dining room, living room and beautiful bedrooms, the owners have spared no expense to create a calm and serene atmosphere, transforming the interior into one of the valley’s best luxury boltholes, with the perfect combination of nkuku and Neptune furnishings and lighting, Little Greene paintwork, and sensitively refurbished vintage furniture.

Singer House

Singer House is rightly considered one of Chipping Campden’s luxury boltholes. This wonderfully elegant, Grade II listed, Cotswold stone townhouse is in the heart of the popular Cotswold town, with all its amenities on the doorstep. This sumptuous holiday home’s interior perfectly combines sophisticated-modern with elegant-traditional, producing a distinctly boutique ambience, making it a strong contender for one of our leading bolthole retreats. In addition, the kitchen’s stunning glass doorway hides one of the prettiest courtyard gardens that you’re ever likely to see; a private little hideaway from the gentle hubbub of the High Street, framed by Cotswold-stone walls and lush topiary at every corner.

Tachbrook

Gorgeous Tachbrook is cosy and super stylish and is, without doubt, one of Charlbury’s top luxury boltholes. The owners’ attention to detail, using the perfect combination of colour, fabrics, furniture and lighting, has created a style that would easily feature in any interior magazine. The renovation cleverly combined a Georgian and Victorian cottage, retaining the character of each era, to form the luxury, Grade II listed holiday home that you see today. The cottage has a delightful and private garden, and parking – a much sought-after amenity in the attractive and bustling Cotswold town of Charlbury, with a mainline train station making it just an hour from London.

Colebrook Cottage

Bolthole retreats don’t come more beautiful than Colebrook Cottage. Built in 1861, Colebrook was once the Police Station in the peaceful Cotswold village of Blockley. Today it has been transformed into a luxurious townhouse, with every creature comfort provided and an interior that’s breathtakingly stylish and elegant. The owners have cleverly combined some intriguing original features with contemporary furnishings and styling, including the old police cells which are now the utility area, and the master bedroom which covers the entire top floor and has a vast emperor bed with beautiful Oka linens, a statement wooden chandelier and an elegant dressing room.

We warmly invite you to explore these 10 boutique boltholes and hideaways where you simply have to step inside to feel pent-up stress and pressure peel away to reveal the new, revived you.
