The Fleece Inn

The Fleece Inn – within a stone’s throw of Old Fox Cottage in Bretforton, near Evesham – a Bolthole Retreats cottage – has been voted one of the UK’s best pubs by two different publications!

The AA Pub Guide is one of the go-to sources for the best pubs for food and drink in the UK. It lists over 2,000 traditional countryside inns, pubs and foodie destinations, all selected on merit and with no charge for entry into the guide. Out of the 2,000 establishments, a select group of pubs are listed in a ‘Pick of the Pubs’ section, which includes The Fleece Inn.

And…drum roll please… The Telegraph newspaper has voted the Fleece Inn their Pub of the Year 2019!

No driving required!

If you’re a fan of pubs, fine ale, local beers and ciders, what could be better than supping a pint in one of the UK’s best watering holes and then wandering across the road to fall asleep in a beautiful Cotswold cottage?

Old Fox Cottage next to Pub of the Year

Now you can! Old Fox Cottage (pictured above) is a two-bedroom, beautifully thatched and beamed cottage that’s immaculately and tastefully furnished and feels homely, loved and cherished, and is literally within a small stone’s throw of The Fleece Inn. This great local pub dates back more than 500 years and was owned by the same family until 1977 when it was bequeathed to the National Trust. The pub serves yummy food and great local brews.
