Full Description
Set slightly back on the pretty high street in Mickleton, Woodside Cottage is an elegant, detached family home with beautiful, rural views to the rear. Built from the local honey-coloured limestone, this spacious cottage is surrounded by mature planting and during the summer months, white roses clamber around the front door.

The interior is stylish and thoughtfully laid out with plenty of space to be both sociable but also offer a little peace and quiet when needed. The generously proportioned living room has a cosy open fire, the dining room seats eight comfortably and there’s a superb kitchen. The former garage has been converted into a games/utility room with a pool table and a dartboard, the door to the kitchen can be closed if the competition gets animated! Upstairs are three spacious bedrooms; the fourth room can be used as a snug or the double sofa bed can be made up for use as a bedroom, perfect for children or teenagers.

The private gravel drive provides parking for up to three cars, whilst to the rear, the enclosed garden has a lawned area, a patio with a square dining table and rattan-style seating for eight. It’s a peaceful spot to spend lazy afternoons before enjoying an evening of alfresco dining with treats rustled up on the gas barbecue. Younger guests can enjoy games of hide and seek in the garden.

Reviews

This was the perfect cottage with enough room for our family of 5. We loved the layout of the large living room & big dining table plus had everything we needed in the kitchen. We thoroughly enjoyed taking walks along the public footpath behind the house & the short walks in town to fantastic pubs & a great market. The view of the sheep from the upstairs bedroom windows was the cherry on top.

We stayed at Woodside Cottage to celebrate my wife's birthday. 5 adults and an 8 year old. Difficult to fault this cottage. It was spotless, spacious and conveniently situated to explore The Cotswolds on foot or by car. Well equipped and a nice welcome pack from the owner who was most attentive. We enjoyed playing darts and pool in the evenings when we ate in, and the garden was a sun trap in the afternoon. There are 2 pubs and a hotel serving food, all good, and a well stocked Morrisons local and an award winning butchers all within walking distance. The Cotswold Way is about 50 metres away so there is unlimited walking on the doorstep. There are lots of scenic villages a short distance away. There are a number of gardens to visit, and historic Stratford upon Avon is a short drive away. All in all, thoroughly recommended.

We stayed at the fabulous house due to its location to The Pudding Club which we attended for my wife’s birthday. Very well equipped, very comfortable and we were able to bring our dog which was fantastic.

We rented through Bolthole a lovely cottage in a beautiful little village called Mickleton in a great location near pubs and shops. The cottage has plenty of space to entertain and have fun, it’s stylishly decorated and equipped with everything you need to self-cater. We loved being able to walk to the two excellent pubs, Kings Arms better for food and Butchers Arms for a great fun night out. There’s also a Morrisons about 3 mins walk away.
