Overview
Sitting alongside the impressive historic mill, The Snug is a cosy couples’ retreat in the heart of Bibury. Known for its beautiful stone cottages, fantastic pub and the ever-popular trout farm, this is a picture-perfect Cotswold location.
Keeping its sense of classic style, traditional elements sit alongside modern additions. From the modern, fully equipped kitchen with its woodburning stove, which sits in an exposed stone surround, to the original wooden beams in the sitting room, The Snug is full of warmth and comfort. Set over three floors, it is deceptively spacious, giving you plenty of space to choose how to spend your time. On the ground floor the kitchen has a dining area, the first floor sitting room gives you space to rest at the end of the day, and on the top floor is the king-size bedroom and bathroom.
Outside, a courtyard garden at the rear of the Snug provides a charming little sun-trapped spot to sit and watch the world go by.

The Location
It’s hard to argue with William Morris who described Bibury as ‘the most beautiful village in England’. Arlington Row is one of the most photographed spots in the Cotswolds with its charming 17th century weavers cottages alongside the gently flowing River Coln. With two pubs and a restaurant in the village you have options for meals and evening drinks, and there are two charming cafes. The Trout Farm is England’s oldest working trout farm where you can catch your own, shop the deli counter or just have lunch in the cafe. As you explore the village you will also see St Mary’s Church with its beautiful stained glass windows and Norman arches.
