Accommodating up to 14 guests in seven bedrooms, this is a beautiful location for gathering your loved ones together or celebrating stylish hen parties. With an abundance of open-plan living space, this is a place where you can enjoy a range of experiences without leaving the comfort of The Duchy, from mobile beauty and spa treatments to exclusive wine tastings, the options are endless. The barns are surrounded by wonderful walks, including the Cotswold Way and there are some excellent places to dine in nearby Chipping Campden.
Full Description
Sitting off a quiet country lane, The Dutchy is surrounded by beautiful countryside and magical views over the Vale of Evesham. Beyond the woodland, on the other side of the land lies Dover’s Hill which forms part of the renowned Cotswold Way trail. The nearest pub is just a mile down the hill, whilst the beautiful ancient wool town of Chipping Campden is a five-minute drive.

This sympathetically restored pair of barns offer the opportunity to stay in a delightfully rural setting, yet with everything you need close to hand. Ledge View is a three-bedroom barn, transformed from its former life as a Nissen Hut, whilst Hill View Rise is a four-bedroom, reverse-living Dutch Barn. Both feature well-equipped kitchens, spacious living areas to relax and unwind and there is space for 14 guests to dine together in Hill View Rise.

The Dutchy sits in a large garden with space to really enjoy the open air. Organise garden games, lawn picnics or simply relax in the sunshine, listening to the birds. The sunsets from here are pretty memorable too. Dogs are welcome and there is parking for eight cars.

Reviews

We were a group of eight on a WRAF reunion. Previous to this stay we have used hotels. Not any more. The Dutchy was comfortable and spacious and gave us the opportunity to sit together and reminisce past times. The Dutchy is well equipped and has a log burner for colder times. We enjoyed it so much, we are looking to book again next year in the next few days.

We stayed for a family trip, a total of 16 with kids included. It was an enjoyed stay at the Dutchy. A great location a stone throw away from walk paths. The rooms were clean and very spacious for our group of 16! The kitchens were well equipped and had everything that we needed, check in was easy and the host was very responsive when we accidentally left an item behind.

We stayed in both cottages at The Dutchy and were SO impressed with the facilities, the amount of space and the value for money. We were a group of 12, aging from 2yrs to 50+ looking for a good value family holiday and the Dutchy gave that and more. The tips of places to go, the cleanliness and the small touches such as tea and biscuits left, made it so easy to settle in and enjoy ourselves. Every single person walked in and said wow isn't this lovely. We would absolutely recommend this to others, and have already spoken about returning in the future! You made our summer holiday, thank you so much.

We stayed in both properties at The Dutchy, and couldn't have been happier with all aspects of our stay. The properties themselves are unique - such interesting conversions, and we enjoyed seeing pictures of the original buildings in the Welcome pack. The view from the balcony is truly wonderful, looking out across to the Malvern Hills. Both properties are extremely generous - the proportions of every room were huge. Ample space for our group of 14 and a lovely garden area to enjoy. Well-equipped and spotlessly clean. We did some good walks directly from the property, one day walking to Broadway - around a 4-mile walk, and another walk getting onto the Cotswolds Way to visit Broadway Tower. You can pick up the footpaths easily. We also visited one of the two pubs in Weston Sub-Edge which was very welcoming. We couldn't fault our stay and I hope we get to go back.

It was ideal for us. The rooms were very large, the property was clean and well-furnished, the setting was very attractive, the price was competitive, plenty of parking space - I could go on but everything was excellent and we had a fantastic time.

Hired this place to stay with friends over our wedding weekend. The place was great and all the rooms were great sizes and well equipped. Location is great if you want somewhere quiet but you can walk down to the nearest village in 20 minutes or so. Would 100% stay here again and it’s great for large groups. Having the 2 houses was ideal for us.

Location

The Dutchy is in a rural setting, approximately one mile from the centre of the peaceful village of Weston Subedge, itself a five-minute drive to the popular Cotswold towns of Chipping Campden and Broadway. Located on the northern edge of the Cotswolds, The Dutchy is set within prime walking country - it’s just a short walk to the Cotswold Way at Dover’s Hill - home to the Cotswold Olympicks - and has an outstanding view of the Malvern Hills in the near distance.
