Farm shops, delis, and shopping: Heading north, Cheltenham (6.5 miles) has all the major supermarkets. To the south, Cirencester (9.5 miles) has a Waitrose, M&S, Tesco, Aldi, and Lidl. Most major supermarkets will deliver. Elkstone Studios (3 miles) is home to Jesse Smith butchers, Knead bakery, the Tipsy Baker Bar and a collection of stores. A farmers’ market is also held every 1st and 3rd Sunday of the month, an amazing opportunity to peruse the offerings of local producers. The Green Dragon Inn Pub Shop in Cockleford (5 miles) provides a wide selection of meats, milk, and organic fruit and vegetables, as well as delicious olive oil, pasta and ice cream. The towns of Cheltenham Spa (6.5 miles) to the north and Cirencester (9.5 miles) to the south are both beautiful towns with a plethora of independent shops. You will find regular craft and produce markets take place as well.

Walks: Spring House
is set amongst rural Cotswold countryside and is surrounded by footpaths. The Cotswold Way runs nearby opening up miles of easy-to-follow paths. From your doorstep, routes will lead you through nearby Cowley and Wards Wood. Head to the Green Dragon Pub in Cockleford, around a 50-minute walk, for a meal before walking back to Spring House. For a more challenging walk aim for nearby Cooper’s Hill, known for the cheese rolling race! The steep climb rewards you with fantastic views across the Cotswolds.
