Set in abundant farmland, you'll find a real sense of tranquillity at Siskin Barn - the most beautiful space to gather friends and family, whether for a long overdue reunion or special celebration. At the focal point of the home is an open-plan kitchen/dining area lit up by glorious natural light, while four rustic bedrooms accommodating nine guests lie upstairs, making it the ideal place for a get together. Signed off by a luxurious hot tub and only a stone's throw from Cotswold hotspots Broadway, Blockley and Stow-on-the-Wold, as well as historic Stratford-upon-Avon, this serene bolthole is your base for exploring some of England's most scenic spots.

Overview

Stepping into Siskin Barn, you’re immediately taken away by the peaceful ambience of this place. At the heart of the home is a beautiful light-speckled dining area, where a long table hosts nine guests thanks to benches lined with comfortable faux fur cushioning. To the right of the dining area, a quiet living area with a sumptuous sofa and wood burner offer a place for adults to relax and switch off. Meanwhile, to the left you’ll find the kitchen ripe for rustling up farm shop finds, and a snug simply made for the kids.

Wander past the floor to ceiling windows in the dining area and you'll find bedrooms one and four on the right hand side of the home. Here you'll quickly feel the calming ambience of Siskin Barn's first floor, where there's more than enough room for extended friends and family. Stroll back downstairs, through the snug and up the stairs to discover bedrooms two and three, which sit on the left part of the barn. Mirroring the serene feel of the rest of the home, they're punctuated by traditional beams that infuse this place with rural charm.

As the glowing sun sinks below the skyline, take a seat at Siskin Barn's abundant seating area before heading around the corner for an evening dip in the hot tub, or whipping up a feast on the BBQ. If you're feeling like a wander, don't forget to check out the beautiful River Avon and its early 15th century bridge.

How we found the property.

Verified Up Front Reviews
The barn gave us a very comfortable base for our multi generation family reunion, especially having 2 seating areas so the children could watch some programmes and have a quiet time. A well equipped kitchen, with all we needed, which can sometimes be an issue. Comfortable “proper” beds which we have not always found in holiday properties. The barn is in a lovely quiet setting yet easily accessible to everything we needed.

Great place to stay

Verified Up Front Reviews
This is our second stay, 1st was when it was half the size. Had a great time, peaceful location. Park in walking distance but road is busy. Will definitely be back!

Kimberley

Excellent accommodation

Verified Up Front Reviews
We had a long weekend here with several families staying all with young kids. The houses are perfect for families, good sized rooms and communal areas and plenty of space and equipment in the kitchen. Lots to do in the local area with adventure parks and soft plays all a short drive, and a playground just a short walk up to the Big Meadow albeit the road is a bit narrow and busy. But also nice to go over the bridge and have a pint in the riverside garden of The Frog!

Great Location

Verified Up Front Reviews
We enjoyed our stay. The place wasn't as clean as it could have been. Lots of cobwebs with dead insects. Rubbish under the sofa. No milk in welcome pack. Kitchen utensils not ideal. The location was ideal and the hot tub was great,

Jean

Beautiful home and a great place to unwind with the family. Kate was a responsive and helpful host. Thanks for a lovely stay!

Pre-Xmas Stay

Verified Up Front Reviews
Overall a pleasant stay at the Barn which was used as a base for a pre-Xmas get-together with extended family. The positives Barn was well stocked with crockery and glasswear with an extra fridge which came in handy. The Xmas tree was a lovely touch as we're the robes and flip-flops. Beds we're all comfortable. The negatives The starter pack was rather limited and there wasn't any milk supplied as suggested. We did have a heating/hot water issue as the boiler went a couple of times but we could easily reset it. There was limited hanging/shelf space in some of the bedrooms. Overall a comfy, relaxed and festive stay.

We had a fantastic break at Siskin Barn. The property was absolutely beautiful and we felt completely at home. The kitchen had everything you needed and the host had put up some lovely Christmas decorations which gave a cosy Christmas feel. It made a family birthday celebration feel even more special. Thank you!

Claire

We loved our stay. The property is really beautiful and well-maintained. Lots of space and well-kept surrounding land. It's also close to Stratford Upon Avon and easily accessible by bus (or car). Great place for walks, pubs and countryside. Overall 10/10!

Gemma

Overall absolutely lovely place, really enjoyed our stay.

4 night stay at Siskin Barn

Verified Up Front Reviews
We enjoyed our stay at Siskin barn this summer. It was comfortable and all amenities were provided. Hot tub was a lovely added bonus too. I would say that the cleanliness was the only thing that could be better - lots of areas needed dusting and some extra cleaning and there were cobwebs everywhere. Other than that, it was great.

Great all round! Easy booking process and good communication. House was stunning and had everything we needed for cooking big meals. We didn’t actually venture out but the village looked stunning - definitely worth a visit (or a quick trip to the pub.) lovely outdoor area / seating area. Perfect for 9 girlies to get together for a weekend away to natter and drink Prosecco!!

Victoria

An ideal space for a family group. Nice having central kitchen/dining space and garden was safe for children/dogs. Hot tub was a lovely bonus.

Ros

We stayed in Siskin Barn, and it was beautiful. A lovely setting and great location with lots within walking and driving distance. The kitchen was well stocked, linen and furniture was comfortable. We would highly recommend this place and would return. The kids loved the garden space and we enjoyed the hot tub as the sun set. A perfect family break.

Katy

Lovely, clean, spacious place to stay with great amenities (very clean, well maintained hot tub, newer infant crib, two dishwashers etc). Had a lovely time.

Emily

Beautiful property, equal size rooms, great communal space. Proactive instructions on check-in. Peaceful location but walkable to Bidford for the local supermarket and pub/restaurants.

Beautiful property

Verified Up Front Reviews
Siskin Barn is beautifully designed with a perfect blend of rustic charm and modern amenities. We stayed as a group of friends for a special birthday celebration and everyone was blown away by this place. Our favourite things were, the underfloor heating, cleanliness, hot tub, log burner, American style fridge freezer, kitchen appliances, and extra touches such as bath robes, flip flops and extra towel for the hot tub. Was in a quiet spot but within walking distance of pubs, Indian & Chinese restaurants. Also only 15 minutes drive from Stratford upon Avon. All in all amazing! Would love to stay again.

Louise

A beautiful place to stay

The barn is a fabulous merge of modern comforts with a traditional barn feel. So many nice extra touches like robes and flip flops for the hot tub. Warm and cosy, I would highly recommend a stay here. About 15 mins and £15 taxi ride into Stratford.

Stay with friends at Siskin barn

Verified Up Front Reviews
Siskin barn was perfect for our school friends reunion. It was kitted out really well and had all of the amenities we wanted. The double fridge and two dishwashers were particularly useful. The beds were super comfy and the towels, robes and flip flops for the hot tub were a really nice touch. We loved our stay and are thinking about returning next year! Thank you for having us.

Family break

Great accommodation in a quiet rural location. Exactly as described. Note it was 2 houses so there are 2 boilers if you need to put the heating on. Comfortable beds and quality linen. Lots of room for 6 of us plus a baby and a dog. Hot tub was excellent in its own enclosed area. Plenty of seating indoors and outside.
