From the moment you enter Rose Cottage, you are greeted with a sense of calm sophistication. The property’s pristine interior reflects a Soho Farmhouse inspired elegance, with its modern-rustic flair. Retaining its classic English cottage charm, Rose Cottage boasts the luxury of having traditional features such as its inglenook fireplace, wooden beams, and original stone walls. Living Room:
This cosy living room features a large sofa, two wooden chairs, a coffee table, log burner and Smart TV. There is also a selection of board games and books to choose from should you wish to play a few games with your loved ones or read a book in the tranquillity of this space.

First Floor

Bedroom One:
The spacious farmhouse-chic master bedroom offers the ultimate comfort of a king-size bed alongside tasteful furnishings, wardrobe space, a dressing table and an armchair.

Bedroom Two:
Relax in the traditional style of the second bedroom, with beautiful views across to a farmer’s field. This bedroom features a full-length mirror, double bed, lamps and carefully chosen artwork. Bedroom two also boasts inbuilt hanging space for your clothes and cupboard storage.

Bathroom:
This timeless bathroom offers the luxury of both a roll-top bathtub and a rain shower as well as having a WC and basin.

Cloakroom:
This space features an additional WC and basin.

Outside

The stunningly landscaped front garden adds further charm to the cottage and offers an al-fresco dining spot at a table with four chairs.

Rose Cottage offers a wonderful choice of local farm shops. With the famous Daylesford Organic only a short 5-minute drive away, or a scenic 40-minute walk away, this property is perfectly situated amongst the Cotswolds’ most popular destinations and hidden charms. Specialising in ‘field-to-fork’, Bruern Farm and Café offer a range of locally sourced produce in their shop as well as in their on site café. In the shop, they also stock artisan gifts made by local craftspeople.

Chipping Norton has a fantastic selection of shops including a Marks & Spencers Foodhall. Explore historic Stow-on-the-Wold and discover its range of independent shops and boutiques, including Fairfax and Favor and The Cotswold Company. There is also a Tesco for your groceries.

Eating Out:
  • The Fox, Oddington – 17th Century pub that prides itself in sourcing local ingredients from sister farms Daylesford Organic and Wooten Estate, serving classic British pub food (0.1 miles).
  • The Old Butchers, Stow-on-the-Wold – Located in an old butcher's shop, it is known for its excellent fresh seafood, charcoal-grilled meats and welcoming atmosphere (2.5 miles).
  • The Wild Rabbit, Kingham – Connected to the Daylesford Estate, a fine dining experience utilising carefully sourced produce (3.3 miles).
  • The Chequers, Churchill – Gastropub offering a classic country pub atmosphere with a sophisticated dining experience (4.4 miles).
  • The Lords of the Manor, Upper Slaughter – A delightful spot for afternoon tea outside on the lawn in summer or by a roaring fire in the colder months (5.9 miles).

Walks:
From the cottage, you can walk along the main path and turn right into Church Road. Follow right to the end where the church is and the public footpath is signposted. After a while, the path splits and you can follow the pathway to Daylesford or Kingham. This path is a farm track so is easy to walk, and the directions are clearly signposted. Follow ‘The Wardens Way’ from Lower Slaughter to Upper Slaughter, through the picturesque scenery of fields and quaint Cotswolds villages. There is also an OS map in the cottage.

Places to Visit:
  • Daylesford Organic – The famous luxury organic farm home to ‘The Trough’ and ‘The Legbar’, two Michelin Green Star dining venues, an award-winning farm shop and luxury homeware products. They also operate sustainability and wellness experiences (1.5 miles).
  • Stow-on-the-Wold – Historic market town known for its interesting medieval history, antique shops and iconic The Lord of the Rings church doors. The town is also home to a plethora of independent shops, cafes, restaurants (2.7 miles).
  • The Slaughters – Well-loved for their quintessentially Cotswolds character, these neighbouring villages offer a truly charming and serene day out. Lower Slaughter (5.5 miles). Upper Slaughter (5.9 miles).
  • Bourton-on-the-Water – Naturally beautiful Cotswolds village, famous for its honey-coloured buildings and picturesque village atmosphere (6.6 miles).
  • Diddly Squat Farm Shop, Chipping Norton – Famous for being featured on the hit TV Show ‘Clarkson’s Farm’, this popular spot serves locally sourced produce including their own alcoholic beverage brand ‘Hawkstone’ (6.8 miles).

Train – Kingham railway station (4.4 miles) has a frequent and direct service to Oxford and London Paddington.
