Priors Mead is a charming cottage perfectly suited to families and friends seeking a peaceful country escape in the rolling hills of Oxfordshire. Draped in enchanting wisteria and with uninterrupted views, this traditional cottage in the quiet village of Claydon feels a million miles away, despite being surrounded by Oxford, Stratford-upon-Avon, Warwick and the stunning Cotswolds for a great day out.

Overview

Nestled on the edge of the sleepy village of Claydon, this spacious 3-bed cottage enjoys a sweeping countryside backdrop where peace and quiet is its defining feature. With spacious living room, kitchen and bedrooms as well as a large private garden, there is plenty of space for families or groups wanting a relaxing break together in the Oxfordshire countryside.

If you love the aesthetic of exposed beams and inglenook fireplaces, then Priors Mead is the storybook cottage for your rural escape. The large living room is a welcoming space to spend time together, centred around a striking stone fireplace, perfect for cooler evenings. The quaint kitchen is well-equipped for a hearty breakfast before a day of exploring. Upstairs, three spacious, bright bedrooms are all blessed with captivating countryside views. With a king-size master, one twin and one single, flexible sleeping arrangements are provided.

The real highlight however is the stunning cottage garden. In spring, wisteria and pink bluebells bloom. Read a book in the summer house or enjoy an al fresco meal with spectacular views. A small gate leads to an orchard where rabbits are often seen darting through the long grass, white tails bobbing behind them.
