Full Description
You arrive at Deer Park Farmhouse to discover a modern home, secluded on the edge of the National Forest. It is surrounded by beautiful woodland scenery which you can gaze upon from the luxury of your own private hot tub. Near Lydney, you are ideally placed to explore the rugged landscapes of the Wye Valley and Forest of Dean. If you’re looking for a more serene getaway you can stroll to the nearby towns and villages, visiting the many country pubs along the way.

Deer Park Farmhouse offers generous accommodation which is flooded with light. It is a pristine, modern home with a kitchen/diner which is a delight to cook in. Personality is added with the soft furnishings and artwork throughout the house, and it is this that makes the living room such a lovely spot to spend time. Light the woodburner, watch your favourite TV programme, or chat with your group making plans for the rest of your stay. The house is incredibly well-equipped for any group, with flexible bedrooms and three bathrooms. There is even a study and utility providing extra space for getting work done and drying the dogs.

In the garden you are surrounded by tranquillity which you can relish from the six-seater hot tub nestled in a corner of the garden. Pour yourself a drink and sink into the bubbles as you enjoy the views. While you relax the head griller can fire up the barbecue and the children can play games on the lawn. Perfect for the family pets, the garden is fully enclosed, and you can leave the car and follow walks straight from the door.

We had a lovely week here, in this beautiful quiet cottage. The gardens are lovely too. We liked that each room had access to its own bathroom and the kitchen space was huge.

We stayed at Deer Park Farmhouse for 4 days to celebrate our daughter’s 18th birthday. The house was amazing, loved the décor, the outstanding location with a huge garden and the hot tub was a bonus. Definitely coming back again.

We had a lovely few days here. It was a great space for our family-myself, my husband, our 4 children aged between 10 and 15 and our dog. It was clean and very well-equipped. The hot tub worked well and was easy to use. The bedrooms were comfortable and the bathrooms were ideal. It was within easy reach of great places in the Forest of Dean and the Thai takeaway from Lydney was really tasty too. We would definitely recommend this house to family & friends.

Location

The location of Deer Park Farmhouse makes it an ideal spot for exploration with natural delights such as the Forest of Dean and the Wye Valley on the doorstep. The Forest of Dean is one of the most interesting places in the UK lying within the embrace of two great tidal rivers, the Severn, and the Wye. The landscape, heritage and culture created are quite unlike anywhere else. The village of Aylburton is a mile away where there is a good food pub. Lydney is just two miles away with a selection of shops and restaurants. Chepstow, Cheltenham Spa, Bath, and Cardiff are all easily accessible.
