From the moment you arrive on its 40-acre grounds, Claytons Hideaway exemplifies a classically Cotswolds’ getaway. With its charming stone spiral staircase, spacious living and dining space, fully equipped kitchen, private patio and access to the estate’s fields and woodlands, this property extends a delightful stay.

Each room is tastefully furnished with an air of sophistication and comfort; its carefully considered earth-toned decor creates an inviting place to spend time with your loved one. The cosy living room features a log burner, comfortable sofas and a stunning wood dining table for those relaxed evenings in. The first floor is equally pleasant, with multiple skylights and traditional cottage windows providing an abundance of natural light. A chic en-suite with a roll top bath adds a touch of luxury.

An outdoor patio with a table and two chairs offers a peaceful place to sit and enjoy breakfast, accompanied by the sounds of nature.

Ground Floor

Living room and dining area:
This welcoming open-plan living and dining space offers a two-seater sofa and an armchair for those cosy nights in by the fire. Put a film on the TV, accompanied by a hot chocolate and your favourite company, and enjoy home-cooked meals from the rustic wooden dining table.

Kitchen:
This modern kitchen is equipped with an electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge, freezer, kettle, dishwasher, and Nespresso coffee machine. There is a combined washing machine and dryer in the cupboard just outside of the kitchen.

Cloakroom:
There is a downstairs cloakroom complete with a WC and basin.

First Floor

The first floor is accessible via a spiral stone staircase.
Bedroom:
A king-size bed features in the stylish bedroom space. There are two bedside tables with lamps, an armchair and a dressing room area.

En-suite bathroom:
This room contains a bath, overhead shower, heated towel-rail, full-length mirror, WC and basin.

Outside

There is a long private driveway that leads to the property and guests can explore a designated area of the estate's grounds and fields. Outside the property there is a patio area with a table and two chairs. Soak up the serenity of nature alongside the beautiful flowers planted around the property. Visit the resident chickens out on the lawn and spot local wildlife such as Roe Deer, Muntjac Deer, Barn Owls, Bats and Hares.

With the famous Daylesford Organic only a short walk away, you can browse luxury items in its farm shop and stop for a bite to eat in its two on site restaurants. If you are looking for a café that utilises farm-grown products in their menu, visit Bruern Farm and Café, a family-owned and operated hub of carefully sourced food and artisan gifts. Bledington Community Shop is a wonderful spot to visit; its award-winning community shop and café sell local produce including Old Orchard Gin, made with local botanicals. Chipping Norton has a fantastic selection of shops including a Marks and Spencers Foodhall. Explore historic Stow-on-the-Wold and discover its range of independent shops and boutiques, including Fairfax and Favour and The Cotswold Company. There is also a Tesco for your groceries.

  • The Fox at Oddington - part of the renowned Daylesford Organic collection with a menu serving the farm’s seasonal produce (0.7 miles - 14-min walk).
  • Daylesford Organic Farm - home to The Trough that serves Daylesford classics and hearty farmhouse dishes alongside lighter salads, and The Old Spot serving a modern Italian-inspired menu featuring freshly made pasta and wood-fired pizzas (1.2 miles – 27-minute walk).
  • Kings Head, Bledington - an award-winning 16th century inn with atmospheric furnishings, real ales, delicious food and situated right on a picturesque stream (2.5 miles - 55-min walk).
  • Lucy’s Tearoom, Stow - traditional, English, family-run tearoom that specialises in home-baked cream teas, cakes, homemade soups and light lunches (3.3 miles).
  • The Porch House, Stow - Britain’s oldest inn and excellent fine food destination (3.4 miles).

Walks:
There are many beautiful walks to take from your doorstep at Claytons Hideaway. From the end of the driveway you can follow the bridle way for 1.5 miles to the much-loved Daylesford Organic farm shop. The paths around Oddington Ashes offer scenic walking through open farmland, woodlands and stunning Cotswolds scenery. Enjoy a relaxed afternoon stroll with your loved one to local gastropub The Fox, famous for its incredible menu and affiliation with Daylesford Organic.

Travel:
Train – Kingham Station (4.1 miles) and Moreton-in-Marsh Station (5.9) miles are the nearest train stations. Both have trains that run from London Paddington.
