Shakespeare Distillery
Stratford-upon-Avon
Food & Drink Experience
Founded in 2015, Shakespeare Distillery is an artisan spirit producer located on the Drayton Manor Farm estate on the north-western edge of Stratford-upon-Avon. In 2019 they opened their doors as a visitor centre and along with their onsite shop, they now offer a suite of popular experiences including Distillery Tours, Gin Schools, Gin Tasting Cruises and Cocktail Masterclasses. Their visitor centre has won a number of Gold and Silver awards from the 2020 and 2022 West Midlands Tourism Awards and a Travellers’ Choice Award by Tripadvisor.
The latest addition to the Shakespeare family is their shop, Tasting Room and Rum School in the centre of Stratford-upon-Avon. The building used to be the home of Judith, William Shakespeare’s younger daughter and her husband, Thomas Quiney, who ran a wine business from the premises. Shakespeare Distillery have lovingly restored the building and, without destroying the character, have made it a state-of-the-art facility for enjoying their spirits. On the ground floor they have a shop showcasing their own spirits plus a range of wine, beer, cider and chocolates from local producers and gifts from Shakespeare’s Schoolroom & Guildhall.
