Frome Valley Vineyard

Visit Frome Valley Vineyard for tours and tastings and a chance to enjoy the beautiful Herefordshire countryside. To experience some delicious wines in the walled courtyard of the winery, with 500 year old buildings, curated usually by one of the family, is a sensational way to spend a summer afternoon.

Frome Valley Vineyard was planted more than 35 years ago and is one of the oldest in Herefordshire. Tucked into a curve of the River Frome, you will see how grapes are grown in our climate and what is happening right now in the vineyard – what is going well, what may not be going so well! Then back to the winery to sit back and enjoy the award-winning still and sparkling wines, brandy, ciders and perry.

The wines reflect the maturity of the vines in the quality of grapes they grow. The vineyard is run as sustainably as possible, using, for example, sheeps wool to mulch the rows, keeping the weeds down, the moisture in and feeding the vines all at the same time. The sheep also obligingly do a great job in the winter, mowing the vineyard and fertilising it. Book now, and we’ll see you soon!
