Stratford Literary Festival

Stratford-upon-Avon

Events Experience

Specific date: 3 – 8 May 2022 and TBC November 2022

Stratford-upon-Avon is the much-lauded birthplace of celebrated playwright William Shakespeare, and therefore to our mind, it’s fitting that this ancient market town also plays host to one of the most significant literary festivals in the UK.

Twice a year, in May and November, the great, the good and the unsung of the literary world participate in a diverse schedule of literary debates and ideas interwoven with celebrity author events and interactive workshops at the Stratford Literary Festival. This fabulous festival has grown in stature since its inception in 2008 and attracts a wide variety of speakers from across the globe who entertain thousands of visitors that share a passion for books, writing and reading. Former participants include literary stars such as Louis de Bernieres, Joanna Trollope, Alexander McCall Smith, Dame Hilary Mantel and Sir Michael Morpurgo.

To note: all venues used can accommodate those with wheelchairs and mobility issues.

Month: May & November
Enjoy talks, interactive workshops, and events with your favourite celebrity authors in Shakespeare's county.
