The Manor House Golf Club
Castle Combe
Active Experience
No matter your golfing abilities, you will be welcome at The Manor House Golf Club. Set in 365 acres of Cotswold countryside it is an award-winning championship course. Lined with trees and with the River Bybrook flowing through the middle, it is a stunningly designed location. Lining up for your first shot you are overlooking a waterfall, a magnificent way to start a round of golf.
Between you and the 18th hole are nearly 80 bunkers, water hazards and some spectacular scenery. Luke Donald, formerly a World Number 1 and Ryder Cup star described The Manor House as ‘a truly stunning course’. It is also known for having one of the prettiest finishing holes in the golf world. Designed by Peter Alliss and Clive Clark the course will certainly test your skills. While playing you navigate its dramatic drives and imaginative obstacles. Halfway round the course you can take a break at the converted Airstream trailer serving drinks and food.
The clubhouse welcomes you with a menu of sandwiches, burgers and British classics. Serving breakfast, you can enjoy a hearty meal before beginning your round, or afterwards for an early evening dinner. Maybe the player in last place will have to fork out for a round of drinks!
If you arrive for your round and discover you’ve forgotten some important kit, the onsite pro shop has a range of clothing and equipment available. You can also hire a trolley or a buggy, clubs and shoes. Two PGA professionals are on hand for lessons whether you’ve never held a golf club before, or your swing just needs some fine tuning.
Open all year round, unless snow covers the course, it is a must play for golfers while you are staying in the Cotswolds. Set in the village of Castle Coombe you can enjoy the picturesque views from the tees and soak in the relaxing atmosphere.
