Retreat to East Barn, a storybook hideaway set in a quaint rural spot. Resting between bustling Bristol and historic Bath Spa, and with seasonal access to a plunge pool, this bolthole is both a creative and unique base for family trips and countryside escapes.

Overview

Tucked down a country lane in a picturesque farm setting, this 2-bed cottage truly feels like a hidden gem. Resting in a serene spot and ideally situated between buzzing Bristol and beautiful Bath, this hideout extends both a memorable and relaxing stay.

The moment you walk through the door at East Barn, you enter a quiet haven. The property’s cosy yet spacious interior reflects an English-cottage-inspired elegance, with contemporary flair and traditional features blending effortlessly together. Designed with an upside-down layout, two well-appointed bedrooms exhibit a refined rustic style and feature floor-ceiling french doors leading outside. The timelessness continues upstairs, where the open-plan living, kitchen and dining area offers a sense of sanctuary. Settle down for the day by the fire’s comforting glow and lose yourself in a good book by the Juliet balcony. The cottage’s unusual layout means the upstairs living space displays wonderful views of the surrounding scenery.

East Barn features two charming garden nooks perfect for socialising. Spend slow mornings out in the front courtyard with a cup of tea accompanied by the gentle ambience of nature. Indulge in a spot of alfresco dining or evening drinks in the private back garden and spend some quality time with your loved ones. Revel in the countryside way of life by walking along the owner’s footpath and having lunch on the picnic bench by the river as you discover the abundance of wildlife on your doorstep.
