Our farm cottages fall into two types. Some sit on working farms, where you may see livestock, arable land or day to day farm activity going on nearby. Others are set on farm estates or open farmland where the working elements have reduced or moved on, offering the same rural setting without animals on site. Each listing states clearly which applies, so you know what to expect before you book.
Where to stay: farm cottages across the Cotswolds and beyond
Our farm cottages are spread through the Cotswolds and the Forest of Dean so the setting changes depending on where you book. Cotswold farm cottages tend to sit among honey coloured stone villages and rolling arable land. Further west, Forest of Dean stays back onto ancient woodland. Wherever you choose, open farmland or a working farm is usually just beyond the garden gate.
A good match for families
Children get plenty to do surrounded by open land that a standard cottage garden can't offer. Where a property sits on an active working farm, that might mean watching farm life up close or spotting animals in nearby fields.
Pet-friendly by nature
Farms are ideal for dogs. Most of our farm holiday cottages welcome pets, and the surrounding land often includes dog-friendly walking routes straight from the door, from farm tracks to nearby bridleways and footpaths.
