Nestled in the charming village of Alderminster just outside Stratford-upon-Avon, The Old Bakery combines history, character and impeccable style to create an exceptional escape for families or groups. With plenty to do nearby, you can visit Shakespeare's birthplace museum, catch a show by the Royal Shakespeare Company, or simply spend the day strolling around Stratford’s quaint gift shops and boutiques.

Overview

From authentic features to carefully chosen furnishings, every corner of The Old Bakery oozes character. The immaculate modern kitchen is set within the oldest part of the house, where exposed brickwork and original beams remain from the days when the bakery's ovens were fired up and villagers queued outside for their daily bread. Now a stylish dining table provides a place for an indulgent meal. The equally characterful living room features stunning wood panelling and arched doorways alongside an exceptional choice of furnishings and finishing touches, perfect for relaxing evenings in.

With two king-size bedrooms and a twin, the property is perfectly set up for families or groups, each beautifully appointed with tranquil décor and beautiful, high-quality linens. Once the bakery’s grain store, the twin bedroom is the crowning glory of the property with soaring wood beams and the original window where grain would have been poured to the bakery below still intact.

Outside, a quiet garden offers space to relax on a summer’s evening with a glass of wine or sparkling presse. Stroll down to the village pub for a delectable Sunday lunch or enjoy picturesque walks along the River Stour that meanders behind the property.
