Tucked away in a peaceful spot, this charming cottage is the perfect place to switch off, relax and recharge. Its spacious, open plan living and dining room is a lovely space for unwinding together in the evening around the wood burner effect stove. On summer days the patio door can be thrown wide, opening the room to the sweet garden beyond. The pretty kitchen in pastel shades of green and rose is ideal for cooking up breakfasts or dinner when not dining out in one of Moreton’s many fantastic cafés or restaurants. Meals can be enjoyed overlooking the garden.
Upstairs two king-size bedrooms and two bathrooms provide a comfortable setting to retreat to each night and wake up each morning. The ground floor office acts as the third bedroom with a sofa which extends into a double bed.
The crowing glory of Old Orchard Cottage is its lovely courtyard garden. Relax in the gazebo-covered dining area, enjoying a glass of wine on a summer’s evening or a family barbecue.

The colourful cottage kitchen has everything you need for an enjoyable stay. There is an oven and hob, microwave, coffee machine, fridge/freezer, kettle and toaster. Hidden in a pantry cupboard are the laundry facilities which include a washing machine and tumble dryer. The kitchen opens out to the courtyard garden making it easy to take meals outside for al fresco dining.
Living/Dining Room
Comfortable and warm, this open plan living space welcomes you to relax. The gas wood burner effect fire adds atmosphere as you curl up on the sofa or one of the armchairs to watch TV with your group after an exciting day exploring. The dining area has a table and chairs seating four. Open the door to the courtyard to let in a fresh breeze.
Office/Bedroom Three
The tucked away office has a desk and a chair for working holidays. This cosy room converts into the third bedroom with a sofa which extends into a bed. There is even a hanging rail in the corner.

Just off the entrance hall, the cloakroom has a WC and basin.
First Floor
Bedroom One
A sumptuous king-size bed sits at the centre of this spacious bedroom. Dual aspect windows let plenty of light in and there are two units which provide half-height hanging storage.

In the en suite is a rainfall shower, WC and basin.
Bedroom Two
Tucked beneath the eaves, bedroom two has a king-size bed before a feature floral wall. There is plenty of space to store your belongings with a chest of drawers and a built-in wardrobe.

As bedroom one has its own en suite, the bathroom will mostly be used by those staying in bedroom two. There is a bath with a shower over, WC and basin.
Outside
Old Orchard Cottage has a fabulous courtyard garden which feels secluded and peaceful. A gazebo covers a dining table which seats four and potted plants add colour to the area. From the garden gate you are just a 2-minute walk from the high street where you can pick up freshly baked bread from the bakeries or head out for dinner and drinks in the evening.

You’ll be spoilt for choice with the artisan food shops lining Moreton-in-Marsh's long high street. Purchase sourdough from Otis & Belle, artisan cheese from The Cotswold Cheese Co or some carefully selected wines from the lovely Moreton Wine Bar and Merchants. There is also an excellent market every Tuesday, which was first established in 1227 and is one of the largest street markets in the Cotswolds, well worth a visit. Just outside Moreton-in-Marsh, Old Farm offers local produce including meats, eggs, butter, yoghurts and more. Further afield are luxury farm shop Daylesford Organic with on-site butcher, deli, homeware store, wine shop and award-winning restaurants (7 miles) or Jeremy Clarkson’s Diddly Squat (10 miles). For groceries there is a Co-op, Tesco Express and Aldi within walking distance.

- The Black Bear Inn, Moreton-in-Marsh – pop in for a meal or drinks at this friendly local pub (0.1 miles)

Walks:
Many walks begin and pass through Moreton-in-Marsh. A circular route to Batsford Arboretum is around 6km and is a wonderful way to explore the nearby countryside and woodland. You can head further down to Longborough or take a longer walk of around 6 hours up to Paxford, Broad Campden and Blockley.

The Old Orchard Cottage was a beautiful home which allowed us a very comfortable stay in Moreton-In-Marsh. It was spacious, very well equipped and so clean. We loved the outdoor area and spent time outside after our busy days. It was very well located in town and we could walk to several lovely restaurants. Communication with Bolthole Retreats and with Mandy, the manager, was excellent. The cottage was one of the nicest rental accommodations we have ever enjoyed!

Charming and cosy cottage. It was clean and comfortable with all amenities for an easy stay and the Christmas decorations were a lovely touch. We would definitely return.

A lovely cottage but
A lovely cottage but the parking is very very tight if you have a big car like a Range Rover you cant park at the back dont drive down to the spaces it is very very narrow and you cant turn round as we discovered. The bath towels are very small bath sheets are much more suitable. The 10 am exit time is too early especially considering how much you charge. 3pm in 10 am out Im sure it doesnt take 5 hours to clean. The cleaner went straight in as we left. 12 would have been more acceptable. The bed in main bedroom with the ensuite has a very uncomfortable mattress my husband and I had back ache so not good. We think it needs replacing as it went completely flat when we sat on it unlike the one in the other room which was lovely.

There is enough parking on the drive for 2 cars, and there is also plenty of on-street parking directly outside the front of the cottage. Check-in is from 3pm and check-out is by 10am, which is industry standard and allows our housekeeping team the necessary time to clean and prepare the cottage thoroughly to a high standard for incoming guests.

Perfect cottage
This cottage is fantastic. Super comfy beds, bedding, sofa etc. If you want to cook, the kitchen has everything you could possibly need. The courtyard is also very pleasant even in the depths of winter. So lucky to have parking as well. Very quiet location yet just a very short stroll into the high street for lots of options for eating or just a coffee. We will be back.
