Families will love discovering the popular Cotswold Farm Park and meeting the rare farm breeds.

Overview

Nestled in a hidden corner of the Cotswolds, Coppice House is a real country escape. The house is hugged by woodland and open fields at the foot of Bredon Hill which is made for walkers and mountain bikers. On your way back home at the end of the day, pop into the village pub, The Star Inn. With everything on your doorstep you can hunker down with your family or friends and have a fantastic time in this beautifully rural part of the Cotswolds.

This grand home is warm and welcoming, and its history adds something special to your stay. Conversations are accompanied by roaring open fires in the timber framed drawing room and lunches in the dining room are drenched in sunlight. Traditional aspects in the kitchen fill it with character but rest assured, you still have all the mod cons and the sitting room has a smart TV. There is so much space at Coppice House you don’t need to worry about being on top of each other, and at the end of the day five bedrooms await. Two are on the ground floor which helps ensure all members of your group are comfortable.

From the garden you can really appreciate this black and white timber framed house. The mature grounds are a dream with lawns and flowering beds. Why not have a BBQ while the dogs and children let off steam? You will find some lovely secluded spots to lay a blanket and soak in the sun, listening to the horses in the neighbouring paddock. Surrounded by open fields with Bredon Hill and the Vale of Evesham on your doorstep you can get away from it all and almost forget the outside world exists.

Lovely long weekend

Verified Up Front Reviews
Coppice House was everything we needed for a group of 10 in the Cotswolds. Loads of character, lovely garden areas and a large communal kitchen & dining areas. Good bathrooms & plenty of toilets. Messaging contact with the Owner was polite & efficient. Bredon Hill is nearby is worth a walk up, then down to The Star in Ashton Underhill for refreshments.

Almost perfect!

Verified Up Front Reviews
Just a few little things which would have made it 5 rating for everything. The garden parasol was broken and unusable. There were no locks on some of the bathroom doors,(just a simple hook type lock would be fine) Broken sink in the kitchen with a dirty washing up bowl The fridge needed to be defrosted so that the bottom shelf could be lifted out and cleaned. We loved the house and the location and had a lovely stay and the above comments are just small things which we thought you should know about.

John

We had a wonderful stay, the house was quaint and old and had lots of different areas for us to sit in. All the rooms were big enough to accommodate our group and the kitchen was clean and had lots of equipment. The garden was absolutely stunning with lots of space for us to enjoy along with our two dogs. The bedrooms were very comfortable and clean and we all slept very well. The stables opposite had some dogs, one of whom came into the garden frequently and roamed around while we stayed at the house. It wasn’t a problem for us but something to bear in mind if you are bringing dogs and children.

Relaxing Easter break

Verified Up Front Reviews
Great house and garden, lots of character, large well equipped kitchen where we cooked roast for 8 of us. Local pub was excellent with good food and drink selection. Garden not quite dog proof so couldn’t let her run free, but reclining chairs and large wooden table and benches meant we could sit out and enjoy the sun.

Great house and garden in the Cotswolds

Verified Up Front Reviews
We enjoyed a wonderful stay at The Coppice for a family celebration. The house and garden were perfect for us, our children, grandchildren and dogs. We had a fantastic time in a lovely location.

Kim

The house itself was perfect for our requirements in regard to location, rooms and surrounding area. The house was quirky and charming. The rooms were spacious and warm. If it's high speed wi-fi you need then you are likely to be disappointed and this is something that should be addressed. John, the Owner, was incredibly helpful but there was no getting away from the fact that the connectivity wasn't great. Aside from that everything was spot on and it's a great house. Ours was a cold weather stay so we didn't use any of the outdoor facilities.

Rob

This was such a beautiful house, felt very homely and had plenty of space, bedrooms and bathrooms for us all. We enjoyed the stay so much, the kitchen is a wonderful space to socialise! Thank you

February half term break.

We were a family group of nine with two dogs. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this special house. The lovely (quiet!) sitting room and a living room with the tv both had cosy open fires, much needed during a very chilly, but thankfully mainly dry, spell during our time here. The open plan kitchen and dining area meant there’s plenty of room for everyone. A huge dining table was great for playing games. The large garden is gorgeous (and must be spectacular in the warmer months). The eleven and twelve year olds loved having the horses nearby. Enjoyed one truly delicious meal at The Star pub, highly recommended. Would have gone again but had too much food at “home” to use up. Some minor problems were immediately rectified by the owners. A memorable stay. Thank you!

Our family had a lovely trip at the Coppice, it's a characterful property, and the welcome pack was a nice surprise. Peaceful location, pub walkable, nice walks nearby and the property is well equipped.

Guest

A great house, fully equipped with everything you could need, great instructions and a responsive host. We really enjoyed our stay.

Rosie

We stayed at the house for a family members birthday and could not recommend it highly enough. The house had excellent facilities and amenities, not to mention extremely comfortable beds, and the surrounding area offered a lot of great walks around the countryside. Would definitely stay again in the future, thank you for a wonderful stay!

A great weekend celebrating a family anniversary

Verified Up Front Reviews
A wonderful house and garden, large spacious rooms and comfortable beds. Great to be dog friendly, they loved the garden!! We found everything we could possibly need in the kitchen. As with any old property it has a few issues with some uneven paving, windows difficult to open and shut, and some extra ventilation in one of the bathrooms (large gap in the outside wall). But overall a great place for a family celebration.

A great holiday in the beautiful Cotswolds. The instructions for the house location were easily followed. Once parked up in the spacious forecourt we were amazed by the house set in a huge peaceful garden. The birds were singing and Red Kites were clearly visible in the sky. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay with the family in the beautiful spacious house which has a lot to offer. Positives Bedrooms all had nice furniture, sheets towels; (robes provided) all rooms had fans Bathrooms/Shower rooms (with toiletries was a nice touch) Kitchen Very spacious with plenty of everything Cupboards could do with repainting Check fridge - wasn’t very cold! needs new bowl under sink Huge dining room under glass roof was very nice Lounges were lovely too Garden - good supply of deckchairs, outdoor table and benches Just a few pointers Front door needs attention, was a job to lock and unlock (important when taking expensive bikes as we did) attention needed for downstairs shower room , shower a job to regulate hot /cold Bath mat needs replacing Shower ceiling paint coming off needs regular checks of toilet brushes as the one in our room was awful Lovely touch was the Bottle of Prosecco, Crisps and Chocolates Thank-you very much a great stay

Big family birthday bash

Verified Up Front Reviews
Loved our stay there, private, excellent gardens, comfortable beds, everything to hand to make an exceptional stay. We only had one minor problem, we couldn't get the dishwasher to work correctly.both short and long cycles left residue on all glass, plates and cutlery. Hand washing made a return. Would highly recommend the Coppice to other family groups.
