The Mews is an exceptional find in the heart of Tetbury. Staying here is like stepping into a design magazine with carefully chosen furnishings and walls adorned with conversation starting art. Style and elegance go hand in hand throughout from the minimalist kitchen to the cosy sitting area with its pops of colour. It is an inspiring place to stay and you have access to the shared gardens with an expansive lawn and dining areas. Tetbury is a buzz of activity with popular eateries, vintage stores made for rummaging and the ever-popular Highgrove shop. Visit the arboretum at Westonbirt, the gardens at royal Highgrove or adventure at the Cotswold Lakes.
Full Description
The Mews is full of the unexpected. When you first arrive you do not imagine the quirky interiors that await. High ceilings reach above you as you explore, stopping often to admire the art from images of Kate Moss to limited edition prints.

The open plan living area has been cleverly split into three zones. The large kitchen is sleek with gold accents and is incredibly practical. Alongside sits a dining area for four where soft throws add a touch of luxury and comfort to your breakfasts. In the evenings the many restaurants of Tetbury are hard to resist! After spending your day exploring, the sitting area is a great place to chill out. Curl up on the sofa and watch TV which is cleverly disguised. Heading upstairs the details continue with eye-catching furniture and artwork with a musical influence. Upstairs, both bedrooms feel bright and welcome and the master bedroom is made extra special with a four-poster bed. These share a marbled bathroom waiting for you to have a relaxing soak.

A fabulous addition to your stay at The Mews is the shared gardens. Spread out a blanket on the lawn, taking advantage of the shady spots as you read a book or sip champagne. Beautifully positioned on a terrace a dining area is a great spot to gather at the end of the day for after dinner drinks.

Ground Floor

Entrance Hall
Your introduction to The Mews is the entrance hall which stretches before you. The dramatic monochromatic staircase leads up to the first floor from here and at the end is access to the open plan living area and cloakroom.

Open Plan Kitchen/Dining/Living Area
Subtle colours with pops of brightness make this a characterful room. Spend some time appreciating the art with a cup of tea. The kitchen is spacious and has an oven and hob, kettle, toaster, coffee machine and dishwasher. The dining area is tucked beside the kitchen units with a bench and chairs to seat four. At the end of the room the sitting area has two comfortable sofas and a side chair with a footstool so everybody can spread out. It’s a lovely spot to watch a film or read a book.

Cloakroom
At The Mews, even the cloakroom is well-styled. Green panelling and quirky animal portraits add a touch of the unordinary. There is a WC and basin here.

First Floor

Bedroom One
Sleeping in the king-size four poster bed in the master room is a luxurious experience. Comfortable bedding and views over the shared garden relax you. There are bedside tables, a bench at the end of the bed and lots of built-in storage.

Bedroom Two
The second bedroom has a double bed and is flooded with light. There is a large wardrobe and bedside tables and a mirror to help you get ready for a night out.

Bathroom
Choose from a bath or a shower for a little moment of calm. Finished with marbled tiles and wood flooring this spa like bathroom has a WC and basin.

Outside

Take time in the morning to stroll the shared garden with its planted borders and potted flowers. Seating is provided with loungers and dining sets, or you can just laze on the grass making the most of the British summer.

Reviews

Tetbury is a great location for a holiday. The National Arboretum and Cirencester are recommended. The Mews is centrally located within a quiet corner of the town and a short walk to several nice pubs, cafe's and restaurants. A good convenience store is a short walk and a large supermarket a very short drive. The apartment was spotlessly clean on arrival and furnished and decorated to a very high standard. Would certainly return.
