Full Description
Your stay at The Long Barn begins with a grand arrival along the tree-lined driveway. Tucked behind the main farmhouse you will meet the horses, chickens, and maybe the owners’ dogs as you settle in. Staying here you are sure to have a restful break in these peaceful surroundings.
The barn has been lovingly styled making the most of exposed beams and existing brickwork to create a bolthole with elegance and sophistication. From the open plan living area which is filled with light to the games room which will become the hub of your stay there is so much space to spread out here. The chef of your group can be kept company as they prepare meals in the traditional kitchen which is open to the dining area and cosy sitting space. Evenings are given a competitive edge as you play pool or table tennis in the games room beneath high A-framed beams which stretch above you. Two bedrooms are on the ground floor, each with their own en-suite shower room, while the master suite is on the first floor. This grand bedroom has a wonderfully snug sitting area where you can cosy up with your loved one at the end of the day and watch a film. An extra special touch is added in the en-suite which has a freestanding bath and rainfall shower.
Summer days at The Long Barn are spent in your private garden, sharing nibbles and drinks in the sunshine. There is space for eight to dine together and a gas BBQ so you can prepare feasts. From the garden you can head out to the pool for your daily lengths and spend some time reading poolside. In the surrounding farmland you will see chickens roaming freely and spot the horses trotting in the menage. If you have your own horses you are welcome to bring up to two with you to be stabled here.
