The barn is incredibly spacious with a fabulous open plan living area and romantic first floor master bedroom suite. Choose to stay in spending time in your secluded private garden with a BBQ, having a dip in the pool or game of table tennis, and watching the horses in the fields. If you decide to head out for the day, you’re just a half hour from Oxford with its bustling streets, intriguing museums and tempting pubs and restaurants.
Full Description
Your stay at The Long Barn begins with a grand arrival along the tree-lined driveway. Tucked behind the main farmhouse you will meet the horses, chickens, and maybe the owners’ dogs as you settle in. Staying here you are sure to have a restful break in these peaceful surroundings.

The barn has been lovingly styled making the most of exposed beams and existing brickwork to create a bolthole with elegance and sophistication. From the open plan living area which is filled with light to the games room which will become the hub of your stay there is so much space to spread out here. The chef of your group can be kept company as they prepare meals in the traditional kitchen which is open to the dining area and cosy sitting space. Evenings are given a competitive edge as you play pool or table tennis in the games room beneath high A-framed beams which stretch above you. Two bedrooms are on the ground floor, each with their own en-suite shower room, while the master suite is on the first floor. This grand bedroom has a wonderfully snug sitting area where you can cosy up with your loved one at the end of the day and watch a film. An extra special touch is added in the en-suite which has a freestanding bath and rainfall shower.

Summer days at The Long Barn are spent in your private garden, sharing nibbles and drinks in the sunshine. There is space for eight to dine together and a gas BBQ so you can prepare feasts. From the garden you can head out to the pool for your daily lengths and spend some time reading poolside. In the surrounding farmland you will see chickens roaming freely and spot the horses trotting in the menage. If you have your own horses you are welcome to bring up to two with you to be stabled here.

Ground Floor

Open Plan Kitchen/Dining/Living
Letting the original features shine, the open plan living area has a beamed ceiling and exposed brick which add warmth to this space. The kitchen and dining area embrace the country style with a traditional kitchen in a fun light blue which includes an oven and hob, air fryer, dishwasher, fridge/freezer, coffee machine and other small appliances. Alongside there is space for six to eat at the dining table and the kitchen island can be used for serving extra side dishes. Relax amongst the comfy seating watching TV with an after dinner hot drink or gather to make plans for the following day.

Bedroom Two
Incredible beams fill the high ceiling in bedroom two which has a king-size bed. Looking out across the front you can spot the horses passing by while you sit at the dressing table. There is a wardrobe and two bedside table with lamps.

En-Suite
An impressive rainfall shower is in the cleverly designed en-suite which also has a WC and basin.

Cloakroom
Bold styling makes the cloakroom a talking point with its exotic wallpaper and unique basin. This is a handy addition to The Long Barn when you are spending the evening in the games room.

Games Room
The hub of the home, this room is filled with light and excitement. Whether you want to watch a film together, play foosball, have a table tennis competition or a couple of rounds of pool with a beer it is all here. Open the sliding doors to let in the fresh air, closing the curtains for some privacy and make the most of this time together. This room opens out to your garden, expanding the space even more.

Bedroom Three
Hidden away at the end of the barn, bedroom three has a double bed beneath exposed beams. This room has a sliding door at the end so you can nip out for an early morning dip in the pool. If you want to do some reading or catch up on work there is a dressing table.

En-Suite
The spa-like en-suite has a wonderful rainfall shower, WC and basin.

First Floor

Bedroom One
The guests of honour staying in the master suite have their own space to relax in. A double bed sits amongst beams and there is a cosy snuggle chair perfect for curling up for your own private movie night. Looking across to the pool and menage you have fabulous views to start your day.

En-Suite
Shielded from the sleeping area, the en-suite has a freestanding bath so you can treat yourself to a luxurious soak. There is also a rainfall shower, WC and basin with tiling that adds a splash of personality.

Outside

Your private lawned garden has a dining table and plenty of room for a picnic and younger guests to play. At one end a gate gives you access out to the heated swimming pool which is hard to resist. Walking through the farmhouse garden you can bring out nibbles and a book, slipping in and out of the pool as the sun shines above, swimming laps between reading chapters.
