Up to 3 well-behaved dogs are welcome.

Full Description

Renowned as one of the finest market towns in the Cotswolds, Chipping Campden is instantly recognisable by its beautiful limestone townhouses which frame the iconic High Street. No prettier an example is Singer House; an elegant, ivy-strewn two-story townhouse neatly nestled in the heart of the town, just a stone’s throw from the famous ‘Wool Church.’ A real home away from home, it’s easy to see why Singer House sees the same guests returning year after year to soak in its surroundings.

Sleeping up to six guests across three beautifully appointed bedrooms, each of which is charmingly decorated in its own individual style, Singer House is the perfect choice for families, couples, or small groups in search of a relaxing escape with everything you could need on the doorstep. Magazine-worthy interiors expertly blend the period with the contemporary for a distinctly boutique feel, with a wonderfully large sitting room, open-plan kitchen/diner, and separate dining room affording guests plenty of space within which to unwind.

Best of all, the kitchen’s stunning glass doorway hides one of the prettiest courtyard gardens that you’re ever likely to see; a private little hideaway from the hubbub of the High Street, framed by Cotswold-stone walls and lush topiary at every corner. A real suntrap no matter what the season, it’s the perfect spot to unwind with a sundowner or enjoy a feast courtesy of the firepit BBQ; if the many foodie haunts of Chipping Campden can’t tempt you away, that is.

Expertly blending the period with the contemporary, the real beauty of this townhouse lies behind its Cotswold stone exteriors. Stepping inside from the High Street directly into the soft lighting of the flagstone-floored hallway, you’ll immediately get a sense of the townhouse’s history; charming nods to years gone by evident in the ironwork lamps, period artwork, and decorative hunting paraphernalia adorning the walls. To the hallway’s right-hand side sits a show-stopping sitting room. A real masterpiece of refinement, this elegant retreat overlooks Chipping Campden’s High Street through shuttered bay windows, boasting sumptuous cream sofas, bookcase-lined walls, traditional period artwork, and tasteful antique furniture, plus a huge central open fire for cosy nights in.

Following on at the end of the hallway, you’ll find a spacious kitchen/diner, plus a compact but very well-equipped utility room complete with a hidden WC. Modern and traditional in equal measure, the attractive shaker-style kitchen is flooded with natural light thanks to a stunning glass extension, opening-up directly into its hidden courtyard garden. For relaxed dining, a rustic banquette dining table in the kitchen is the perfect spot, with a handsome formal dining room found to the rear of the house.

Upstairs, three generous bedrooms offer an elegant space for up to six guests to rest their heads. The first, found just at the top of the staircase, is the embodiment of Cotswold-chic; country-grey hues adorning the walls, a dainty glass chandelier hanging between exposed beams over an antique French double bed. Next to the home’s family bathroom sits bedroom two, completely different in style thanks to the framed artwork of musicians from years gone by covering the walls, plus a glass Juliet balcony overlooking the courtyard garden. The large master of the house is a nod to turn-of-the-century luxury, boasting high ceilings, a separate seating area around a beautiful marble fireplace, huge picture windows overlooking the High Street below, and its own in-room roll-top bath. A sleek en-suite affords the space with even more privacy, making it the perfect room for romantics in search of R&R.

This bedroom benefits from a contemporary en-suite shower room, complete with a curved shower enclosure, bright skylights, and limestone floor.

Bedroom Two: This stylish bedroom, sitting at the rear of the house, has walls lined with eclectic black and white stills of musicians through the ages giving the room a distinctly cool feel. The bedroom is furnished with a standard double bed with bedside tables and reading lamps, a built-in wardrobe for storage, a TV with Sky+. A glass Juliet balcony overlooks the courtyard garden giving the bedroom the same touch of elegance as the rest of the house.

Grey and blue hues and exposed original stonework afford the room a calming, elegant feel.

Family Bathroom:
Situated on the landing next to Bedroom 2, the well-appointed family bathroom features a rose head shower, steel bathtub with limestone surround, and a bespoke vanity. Keep your eyes peeled for the unique China-inspired porcelain sink.

Outside

Two sets of French doors – glass doors from the kitchen and wooden doors from the dining room- open Singer House up into the shining jewel in its crown; the small but perfectly formed courtyard garden. Entirely private thanks to the classic Cotswold limestone walls which enclose it, this dainty little suntrap offers a peaceful retreat from the hubbub of the High Street. Here you’ll find French-style patio furniture and a firepit BBQ for al fresco dining, with lush topiary, crawling Ivy vines, and well-cared-for flowers making the space as pretty as a picture.

This was a beautiful property situated in the heart if Chipping Campden. The house was stunning and in immaculate condition. It was 2 minutes walk to all the shops and restaurants so was ideal. We loved every part of it from the incredible bedrooms to the quirky courtyard, we felt so relaxed and didn't want to leave! An amazing host and was contactable whenever we needed. We would definitely visit again and couldn't recommend Singer House enough!

Singer House feels just like a beautiful country home. It’s cosy and comfortable and has absolutely everything you need for your stay. We sat in the lovely interior courtyard garden on the warm sunny days. You step out of the front door right into the heart of a pretty Cotswold village with plenty of places to eat, drink or shop. Parking not a problem - right outside the front door with no restrictions. We stayed for a week and it was perfect.

We had the most wonderful stay at Singer House - again!. From the moment we arrived, we were struck by its charm, comfort, and stunning character. The interiors are beautifully kept, with incredible touches throughout, and the stonework in the dining room and bedroom is simply fascinating. The master bedroom is just wow! It’s a home that feels both grand and welcoming, with everything you could possibly need for a perfect stay. Chipping Campden itself is a delight — it has everything from lovely shops, cafés, and countryside walks — yet it was hard to leave the comfort of Singer House each day! Everyone is so friendly too. Thank you for sharing this very special home with us. We left with so many happy memories and can’t wait to return.

We had a wonderful week at Singer House and thoroughly enjoyed its wonderful location and its warmth and charm. The property is well located on High Street in Chipping Campden. The little courtyard garden and sunny kitchen were heaven in the morning with a perfect sitting area for enjoying coffee and listening to the birds before setting out to explore for the day! Parking was quite easy and the location made a perfect spot for exploring the Cotswolds by foot and by car as it is an easy walk to Broadway and Hidcote as well as charming Broad Campden. Paul and Fiona were great hosts and responsive and helpful. We will want to return here.

We loved our stay at the beautiful Singer House. It is such a welcoming place especially the little extras such as a delicious cake and fresh flowers. Our host was very friendly and helpful and added touches that made it a most comfortable place to stay. The location was great for eating out and good quality shops within a short stroll. We enjoyed having our breakfast and BBQ in the beautiful courtyard. We will definitely revisit again.

Location

Amenities are very much on the doorstep here at Singer House. Within walking distance, on the town’s High Street, you’ll find a well-stocked Co-Operative Food, well-equipped for the basic grocery amenities that you’ll need during your stay. For those in search of something a little special, Fillet & Bone, also situated on the High Street, offers beautiful artisan produce sourced from across the Cotswolds; rare-breed meat, seasonal vegetables, fresh breads, charcuterie and freshly-baked cakes and patisserie can all be found here. Slightly further afield, nearby Broadway (10-minute drive) offers a Warner’s Budgens and Nisa, whilst Evesham (25-minute drive) is closest for major supermarkets; an M&S Simply Food, Tesco Superstore, LIDL, ALDI, Morrisons and Co-Operative Food can all be found there.

If you fancy taking the hassle out of your stay completely, we recommend planning ahead with a grocery delivery; Ocado, Sainsbury’s, Tesco and Morrisons all deliver to Singer House.
