You’d be forgiven for assuming Primrose Cottage was simply another pretty face in Broad Campden’s parade of honey-hued Cotswold stone, but step inside and the centuries stretch out around you. There are great sweeps of exposed stone, ancient beams angled just so, and a living room that practically roars with its cavernous open fire. Beyond the front door, stroll to the village pub, lose yourself on winding walking routes, or hop over to Chipping Campden, Broadway and Blockley for a taste of quintessential Cotswold life.
Full Description
At first glance, Primrose Cottage looks every inch the classic Cotswold hideaway. Charming windows, a light blue doorway and a picture-perfect setting in Broad Campden. Inside, however, it’s full of glorious surprises.

The living room wraps you in cosy comfort, with soft neutral tones, wooden beams, and a beautiful, exposed stone wall. The huge open fire is ready to be the heart of your stay, whether it’s the background to morning coffee or lazy evenings with a glass of wine. The kitchen brings a modern twist: spacious, stylish, and made for cooking up feasts, with deep navy cupboards adding a bold touch. Upstairs, the bedrooms are bright and impossibly inviting, dressed in plush linens with their own sleek en-suites. The attic room is tucked beneath sloping beams, making it feel like a well-kept, cosy secret.

Step through the French doors from the kitchen into your private outdoor space - a stone terrace set with a table perfect for long summer lunches or evening drinks. A few steps up, the garden opens out: full of lush green grass and flowers with a BBQ ready and waiting. And when you’re ready to venture further, Broad Campden’s village pub and lovely walking routes are just a short stroll away, with Chipping Campden, Broadway and Blockley all within easy reach.

Reviews

Fantastic place in the heart of the Cotswolds. Bakers Arms pub up the road serves amazing food and is cosy with its fires. The garden is fully secure, beds are really comfy and we got a couple of cars parked directly outside no problem all week. Chipping Campden is a 24 minute walk with places such as Broadway & Bourton on the water only a short drive away.

We had an amazing 4 nights at Primrose cottage we could not rate the cottage highly enough. Everything was 5 star the cottage has been renovated to very high standard which has perfect mix of modern and original features which inc a beautiful fireplace which we lit every night and the xmas tree was a nice touch. Externally the cottage has a great garden which due to staying in November we could not get full benefit. Location wise the cottage is on a quiet road in broad campden which is like a picture postcard every house and garden is beautiful and is about 20 min walk into chipping campden which is charming and this area is our new favourite place in the cotswolds we always have 1 break a year in this part of country as my partner attends your horse live show and we will be looking to stay here again next year.

Primrose Cottage is a delightful place to stay. It is cosy and comfortable but still light and airy. It's been newly renovated and everything is immaculate. I cannot recommend it more!

We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful cottage. It was absolutely spotless when we arrived and had all the homely comforts you could possibly need. The setting is lovely and peaceful, with a pub just up the road and Stow-on-the-Wold only about 20 minutes away, making it a great base for exploring the area. The shower was amazing, and the beds were super comfy – we all slept so well! Would definitely recommend and would love to stay again.

We had such a lovely stay and were so impressed from the moment we walked in. It was just what we had hoped for. The interior design was gorgeous and a pleasure to spend time in. Beautifully clean and felt like new. We loved the design books and found the maps helpful. We wished we could have stayed longer and would love to return.

Primrose Cottage is perfectly situated in the stunning village of Broad Campden. We felt blessed to be staying in such a heart warmingly beautiful setting. The cottage is kept immaculately and is very comfortable and cosy. The garden is fabulous and 100% secure for our doggies and the kitchen is very well equipped. The decor is lovely too. The village pub - Bakers Arms - adds another highlight to staying in Broad Campden. It is a perfectly intimate, gorgeous space and the food is just amazing. A few minutes drive up the road is Chipping Campden which has some lovely tea rooms and restaurants and a little supermarket for essentials. It is also a beautiful little town full of thatched cottages. We wouldn’t hesitate to stay there again.
