Sundown Lodge sits on the edge of Dover’s Hill, which has excellent walking and is part of the famed Cotswold Way, which stretches 102 miles from Chipping Campden, through the rolling countryside all the way to Bath in the south. Turn left out of the front door, left again through your parking area, and right along the farm track that leads away from the road to a metal gate and a hurdle. Go through these, taking care to close them carefully, to keep the sheep in, and along the hedge on your left to the metal gate on the other side of the field. If you wish to join the Cotswold Way, turn left onto the footpath to walk uphill, crossing the lane through two wooden gates, on to Dover’s Hill. If you turn right onto the footpath, down the hill you can walk to Broadway, Saintbury, Weston sub Edge or beyond.
