Under The Nut Tree isn’t a restaurant, it’s more of an experience. Simon, Carolina and family welcome you into their garden where you can party with your friends, or have a romantic dinner nestled in nature.
All food is locally sourced and prepared in front of you on an assortment of BBQ’s, and their motto is “Long, Slow & Smokey”. While they specialise in fire cooking large cuts of prime meat, they have also gained a reputation for our vegetable dishes and salads.
What began as a plan B during lockdown has developed into one of the West Countries best kept secrets, gaining a Best Restaurant nomination at the Three Counties Awards in its second year.
When possible they dine outside under a beautiful Hazelnut Tree, but in poor weather they offer an undercover area in front of the BBQ’s and a beautiful barn. They open March till Christmas doing weekend dinners and occasional Sunday Lunch’s, offering 3 course set menus at £55 per head and BYO booze.
Bookings are advised, and they are available for private functions and outside catering.
