Elevate your next friends reunion or family gathering at Lambs Lawn. Elegant clean lines, thoughtful design and a welcoming atmosphere make this Wiltshire home something a little bit special.

Generously sitting across one floor, the hub of the house is the impressive open plan living area. Rooms with high ceilings flooded with natural light create oodles of space to spread out, put your feet up, play games and dine together. The fully-equipped kitchen is ready for you to prep feasts to be served at the spacious dining table. Pop open the champagne to celebrate before retiring to the sitting area. Browse the games on offer or flick through a book to find the walk you’d like to follow tomorrow. Each of the bedrooms, two super king-size and a twin, have their own en-suite and have been designed to offer a tranquil end to the day and relaxing, lazy mornings. It’s hard to choose a favourite so no matter where you sleep you’ll wake up feeling rejuvenated.

The gardens at Lambs Lawn surround you in lush greenery, with gentle lawns and a wrap around terrace the children can play, you can dine al fresco and walk the dogs. Hidden seating areas are tucked beneath the orchard trees and you have picturesque views of the village church, deer park, trees and hilltops beyond. Follow walking routes from the end of the garden and pop to the local pub just a short walk across country or 3-minute drive away.

Ground Floor


Open plan kitchen/dining
When you first step into this area it takes your breath away. High ceilings, garden views and so much space stretches before you. It’s most definitely a kitchen made for dancing. Split between the kitchen and dining area, nobody is left out. The dining table sits eight with plenty of room for serving a feast. In the kitchen is an oven and hob, microwave, fridge/freezer and everything else you have come to rely on. Make yourself your favourite coffee and head off to explore the rest of the house.

Sitting Room
As the sun streams in, make yourselves comfortable watching TV, toasting to a special occasion or having a competitive evening in around one of the board games. Open the sliding doors to the terrace to let in a fresh breeze and spend time relaxing here. Leading through to the open plan kitchen and dining area you can keep the whole group company while they get dinner ready.

Bedroom One
Each bedroom makes it feel like you are staying in a luxurious hotel. If you can resist jumping straight into the super king-size bed you can appreciate the art, unpack in the modern wardrobe and open the doors to look out across the garden. In the mornings the TV tempts you to lie in just a little bit longer.

En-Suite
At Lambs Lawn even the bathrooms have more space than expected. A large walk-in rainfall shower gives you a spa like experience. Twin basins and a WC are also found here.

Bedroom Two
Natural textures combine with the fresh whites of bedroom two which has a comfortable super king-size bed. Side lights and a garden view tempts you to bed early to read and to stay in the morning to watch the day begin.

En-Suite
With a walk-in rainfall shower, WC and basin the en-suite is a surprising retreat where you can relax with a luxurious shower.

Bedroom Three
Adding flexibility, this twin room could suit children or two friends sharing. Clean lines and added textures continue in this welcoming room.

Cloakroom
A convenient addition, the cloakroom is just off the open plan living area and has some eye-catching artwork. There is a WC and basin.

Utility
When you get back from a country walk, make use of the hose outside to rinse of boots and your furry friends paws before coming into the utility. Dirty clothes can be popped in the washing machine and a dryer takes care of the rest. There is a useful sink here so you can wipe off any muddy bags and gear as well.

Outside


Sitting within an acre of land, Lambs Lawn has a spectacular garden. A terrace surrounds the house with space to dine seating ten or put your feet up and lounge. There’s also an egg shaped swing seat where you can relax and watch the ever-changing view. Whether you just want to sit out and have a cup of coffee or cook a BBQ feast for the family, this is a dream space. You will find another dining table seating eight hidden amongst the grounds where you could host a teddy bears picnic with your younger guests. Find the stream to escape for a moment of quiet.

On your Doorstep
Farm shops, delis, and shopping: The closest supermarkets are in Westbury (4 miles) including Aldi, Lidl and Morrisons. You will also find supermarkets, a butchers and fish mongers in Devizes (7 miles). Get a taste of the local area and follow the 30-minute walk to The Three Daggers, a farm shop, brewery and pub with incredible produce on offer. Poulshot Farm Shop (6 miles) is on the edge of the market town of Devizes and stocks fully traceable meats and fresh fruits and vegetables. Not far from here, Roots Farm Shop (8.5 miles) stocks a range of its own ready meals, pies, quiches and more. Head into Devizes while you are nearby and shop the markets with different wares available Monday to Saturday.

  • Three Daggers, Edington – award-winning pub with a restaurant, pizza shed (in Spring/Summer) and private dining option (1.5 miles)
  • The George & Dragon, Rowde – 16th century coaching inn specialising in fresh seafood (7 miles)
  • The Millstream, Marden – discover the changing menu and riverside beer garden (11 miles)
  • The Bath Arms at Longleat – set on the Longleat estate with an elegant dining room (15 miles)
Walks: Heading towards the church you will find a footpath which takes you through the deer park, passing ponds and woodland. Just outside Coulston you can also walk to Erlestoke Golf Course. Staying here you are on the edge of Salisbury plain which is criss-crossed with walking routes. The Imber Range perimeter trail is a long distance walk which surrounds the area.

  • Erlestoke Sands Golf Course – 18 holes surrounded by rolling hills, forests and sweeping farmland (1 mile)
  • National Trust Lacock Abbey – country house and gardens with medieval cloister and meandering woodland paths (13 miles)
  • Stonehenge – mystical standing stones with a visitor centre which tells the story of its past (14 miles)
  • Longleat – get lost in the maze, see the animals and walk the historic hallways of the grand house (14 miles)

Location

The charming village of Coulston is set amongst glorious Wiltshire countryside, not too far from Westbury - spot the white horse on the side of the hill when you visit. A day out must be spent visiting Warminster and the animals and maze of Longleat, and Bath is just 20 miles away. Explore the Roman baths, admire the historic architecture and visit the many shops and eateries. Nearby Frome is also a beautiful day out browsing the independent shops, dining out and exploring the market. For walkers, Salisbury Plain is a paradise with spectacular views and miles upon miles of trails to explore.
