Summer is on the horizon and there’s nowhere better than Britain when the sun is shining! Get the burgers on the BBQ, towels on loungers, inflatables in the pool and it’s the perfect family holiday. Our cottages with a swimming pool come in all shapes and sizes, some to get all the generations together and others for a quiet break away with your nearest and dearest. Having a pool right on your own doorstep means you don’t have to sit in traffic, no packing a bag for the day with endless supplies, just stroll outside and jump right in!
Outshot Barn – near Hay-on-Wye – sleeps 4 – pet friendly
Whether you’re a small family or a couple, Outshot Barn is the ultimate retreat. Its rural setting outside Hay-on-Wye is a break away from the real world. You’ll be staying on a working farm and there’s a chance to meet the farm animals which is a real treat.
You can start each day stepping out onto the terrace and having a dip in the pool. The views from here are the icing on the cake. You’ll be looking out across the Herefordshire countryside to hills in the distance. Your dogs are welcome to stay with you and there is space on the terrace to have a BBQ and eat outside.
The barn has a wonderful open plan living space with a stylishly rustic design. French doors open onto the terrace so you can expand the room and make sure everybody can spend time together. You’ll never need to leave! Both bedrooms have an en-suite and can either be a super king-size and a twin or two super king-size depending on what you need for your group.

Barns Lee – Eastcourt – sleeps 9 – hot tub
Secluded and stylish, Barns Lee is a divine barn conversion in Eastcourt, not too far from the Cotswold Lakes. Each room is light and bright and you’ll see some of the original barn features including exposed beams above.
The heated pool is perfect for lounging alongside while the children splash about. Take a dip in between sips of prosecco and soak in the rays in this south-facing garden. There is a spacious lawned garden so you can spend long lazy days together, and the terrace has a BBQ and room to dine together. Outside the garden room you’ll find the hot tub, so however you prefer to relax, Barns Lee ticks all the boxes.
The garden room flows into the kitchen/diner where you can serve a buffet, perfect for mingling at as guests spend time in different sitting areas. Five bedrooms, including one on the ground floor and three bathrooms will suit a variety of groups; this is the ideal cottage with a swimming pool.

Just outside Cheltenham, Landers is made for celebrations. The house has everything you will need and you’re not far from the cultural hub and incredible choice of dining and drinking options of Cheltenham.
Pop the champagne and head out to the pool terrace, float along in a doughnut and sink into the bubbles of the hot tub when the sun goes down. When you’ve had your fill of splashing about, put your feet up on a lounger and get lost in a book. You can step straight through into the kitchen from the pool. Serve meals on the terrace making the most of your time here. There is also a fabulous lawn and elevated garden room where the children will love to play, and you can exercise the dogs.
The house is full of quirky additions, a spiral staircase takes you to some of the bedrooms, there are exposed beams throughout and two sitting rooms, one of which has an open fire. Gather in the dining room for more formal meals together.

Foxholme Manor – Stanton – sleeps 14 – pet friendly
If you’re looking for a cottage with a swimming pool, Foxholme Manor is a real Cotswold luxury tucked away amongst the countryside. It’s a grand house which sweeps you away to a world of French style and blissful days in the garden.
The courtyard evokes images of a private gite, surrounded by walls of Cotswold stone. This will be the hub of your stay with a heated swimming pool and plenty of space to sunbathe. Open the doors to the pool house and you’ve got an exceptional space. Fill the dining table with platters of finger food, stock the fridge with drinks and make new memories together. From the terrace you can explore the grounds, walk the dog, have a picnic and play tennis.
When you drag yourselves away from the pool, you can dine in elegance, relax in stylish sitting rooms. As the sun sets retreat to comfortable bedrooms. There is even space to do yoga and wind down.

Chalford Manor – Sydenham near Oxford – sleeps 12 – tennis court
This Oxfordshire haven is nestled amongst beautiful gardens with a swimming pool and tennis court. Just 30 minutes from Oxford and a short drive from London it’s made for weekend getaways and family breaks.
The swimming pool is framed by hanging wisteria at the back of the house, a wonderfully private space. It’s incredibly peaceful, the ideal setting for lounging, cocktail in hand while somebody else tends to the BBQ. You are surrounded by views of the elegant courtyard and gardens beyond. In the afternoon you could play tennis on your own private court, wander the grounds or walk to the nearest pub just 20-minutes away.
The dining room is perfect for celebratory meals after a day spent poolside. After dinner retire to one of the two sitting rooms, one of which is perfect for late night conversations and a nightcap. Bedrooms include a ground floor option and a second floor suite perfect for younger guests.

Buckstone House Coach House – Staunton, Forest of Dean – sleeps 4 – tennis court
This hidden gem is surrounded by woodland in the Forest of Dean. Waking up to the fabulous views you are inspired to explore, but with a shared pool and tennis court you can also have a great time staying in.
Start your day with some lengths in the pool, which is shared with the owners. It’s a sunny spot surrounded by carefully tended gardens that adds a special touch to your stay here. The children especially will love it here as chickens roam the gardens and horses are sometimes kept in the surrounding fields. Adding to your stay there’s even a tennis court so you can host your own mini-Wimbledon.
The coach house is a showcase of antique furniture and has a charm to it. The open plan living area has space to dine and there is an en-suite bedroom on each floor. In a short walk you can visit the local pub!
We love escaping to this rural retreat where great walking routes start from the front door.
Highgate House – near Painswick – sleeps 10 – pet friendly
Highgate House is a sublime retreat, where the views from the swimming pool take your breath away. This Georgian Manor has beautiful details and makes special occasions even more incredible.
The pool sits above the Cotswold landscape with stunning countryside views. When the sun is shining it’s easy to mistake your setting for Italy of the South of France. Dip your toes letting time pass you by with the gentle back and forth of your guests playing tennis alongside. All that’s missing is the waiter to bring your champagne, strawberries and cream!
With a sun-drenched orangery, dining room and beautiful bedrooms the rich interiors of Highgate House are sure to impress.
